There is with the new farsight supplement, but it depends on whether the tourny will allow it as there isnt a hardback version yet and staggered release times for ipad and android! (i.e we usually have a 1 month old limit on new dex's, in that you cannot use them at tournies until they are a month old, how are they going to do that with the new supplements is a recent question that has been brought up!).
Anyway, how many pts is it TK?, I am gussing commander and farseer in with the broadsides?

Tbh, the warwalkers with Brightlances are subpar if you look at how Dark reapers perform with the Taucommander & Aegis w/ Icarus.
But that would need some small adjustments to the list. I do however like the list, tons of firepower!!

You have ruled this galaxy for ten thousand years
Yet have little of account to show for your efforts
Order. Unity. Obedience.
We taught the galaxy these things

Yea I usually go tau primary but took the wave serpents for their survivability and fire power.

Both tournaments are 1850pts. The farsight enclave was legal but I elected not to run them. The commander and the farseer will be escorting the broadsides. It was the best way to take advantage of farseers powers.

Yea i am already at the nova though so won't be able to modify the list anymore. I like the idea of 6 lance weapons from one unit. Majority of the time they should kill what they target.

IMO this list has a lot of missed potential with poor load outs, target presentation, and really relies on your Broadside unit and the correct psychic powers. I think breaking 500 will be difficult, but I've played against you in the past and you are competent, so 2-3 or 3-2.

The last game of the last Ard Boyz.
It's not a bad list, but only 4 AV12, no Shuriken Cannons on the Serpents, flimsy War Walkers, no Drone Controller on the Commander, Bright Lances on the Serpents, and your stationary Farseer. The unit he is with won't benefit from Guide or Prescience and the serpents which could use them will quickly be out of range, also makes the command and control node. I feel that parts of this list do not synergize well with the others, the farseer and Commander perform similar rolls and will be redundant. Its a lot of points for a stationary 36/60" threat.

Drone controller doesnt help missile drones, Guide is 24" range. I wont be advancing the serpents unless i have too. No use in putting them in harms way too early. The shuriken cannons are 10pts a pop and arent that great imho. Their range was the biggest downside I had with them along with the price. I could of dropped missile drones for them but elected not to as the missile drones are higher strength with greater range and will just about always be twin linked. The farseer can also move to contest on the last turns of the game. They have similar rolls but different targets.

You are absolutely right about the Drone controller, can't believe I forgot that. I understand what your strategy is, but it relies on your Farseer, Commander, and Broadsides being Immobile. Its a 600pt unit once deployed that screams your game plan to the enemy and is hugely susceptible to AP2 fire, especially the Large blast Variety sported by nearly every Riptide ever. Two smartly deployed Riptides counters most of your Army, forces you to close the gap, and controls the flow of the game. I mention it because its a common build. If you were going to castle them I think dropping a War Walker for a Spiritseer for guaranteed Conceal would have been huge, 2+ with 3+ or 2+ cover and a tanking T5 Commander would have been better.
Anyway, good luck. I look forward to reading the NOVA battle reports.
I'll be there too, with three blue Dreadknights for your lances/railguns to kill immediately
I think sometimes people are a little harsh on how 'bad' army lists are - your list might not make a lot of sense to the outside observer, but neither do a lot of top lists. A huge part of playing well comes from a person's ability to understand what needs to happen in a game and having the tools to get that job done, however unorthodox.
That said, I wouldn't bet on any specific player having more than 3 wins in this stupidly competitive bunch, so I put you at 3-2. I personally just hope I'm not the one to go 0-5, haha!
Good luck sir!
Thats no moon, thats a... no, wait... thats a moon.
You have a knack of surprising us with your generalship. Looking forwards to see how you will do.
From how strong the field is, I predict 3-2.
Thanks for both the luck and the compliment. I hate to say it but it looks like match-ups will play a large roll in this event.

See above comment about match ups. If you meet up with the couple of guys running 120 kroot you might have a field day. My list is built to kill a riptide a turn or in your case a dreadknight a turn. Good luck to you to. The wait here is killing me.
Note: I apologize in advance for how piss poor my army looks. I spent the last two weeks living out of a back pack in the fields of kansas. So I did not have time to paint up my army to anything more then 3 color minimum. My Open army will actually be painted to a higher regard as the 56th was my first GT army.

I'm working on my own Mechdar list currently, and I gotta concur with the concern over the lack of Cannons on the scatter laser serpents. Seems like you are halving your firepower to save 10 points each. I assume you are firing at troops, and your losing 2-3 wounds a turn a serpent. Roughly guess a kill a turn, that's 10 corpses you aren't making in a game, even against power armored targets.
Are the kroot an outflanked for you, or just a cheap troop? If the latter, possibly consider a unit of 12 fire warriors with their 30" gun, and cadre fire blade instead of the tau commander. It forms a 26 shot gun line at 30", and 39 shots at 15" with str 5 guns. You can put them forward enough to guide them and prescience your broadsides.

Game 1:
Deployment: Hammer and Anvil
Mission:
Primary: Big Guns Never Tire 4 Objectives(In the 4 table quarters)
Secondary: Slay the warlord; line breaker; kill points (each worth 1 point if win each aka winning kill points gives 1 vp of the 3)
Tertiary: Table Quarters
Opponent: Alex Fennell
Army: Eldar Flaming Lips Craftword (TauDar)
Elite:
Riptide, twin fusion blaster, velocity tracker, early warning override
Troops:
6 jetbikes, 2 shuriken cannons
3 Jetbikes, 1 shuriken cannon
3 Jetbikes, 1 shuriken cannon
5 Dire Avengers in wave serpent w/ TL scatter lasers, shuriken cannon, holo field
5 Wraithguard, D-scythes in wave serpent w/ TL scatter lasers, shuriken cannon, holo field
Allied: 11 Fire Warriors
Heavy:
3 Warwalkers, 6 brightlances
Wraithknight
Pre-game thoughts: Alex won best overall for both tournaments last year and was in the final 16 of Adepticon with me when I went. I know he is a good player and it appears he has a very mobile force to include scoring jetbikes which can cover the board in a span of a turn. I will have to kill them any chance I get. Another priority target is the wave serpents to include the very effective D-scythe wraith guard. If they get a chance to flame me they will most likely kill anything that gets to close. The riptide is an obvious target. The one thing I am uncertain of his the wraithknight. I have yet to battle the new MC and it looks tough with T8 and 5 wounds. Not to mention it can advance 12" The warwalkers will be a threat as well as they can seriously damage anything in my army that I want to keep alive to include broadsides, serpents, and my own walkers. This game was my first match in the invitational and was over the live stream. If you saw it feel free to comment but I ask no spoilers until the round is completely posted.
Pre Game Rolls: He wins the roll to go first. I get prescience, guide, and eldrich storm. His seer keeps his battle focus power farseer I dont remember his powers.
Predictions?
Deployment:
He places the tau firewarriors with ethereal in the ruins with the wraithknight. The riptide behind the ruins and one wave serpent in the corner. The one in the middle he hadnt placed yet. It was deployed behind the ruins. My deployment is clear. Commander up front to tank some wounds and drones next to him just in case of S10 shots. I reserve both walkers squads and outflank my kroot. Its big guns so all of them are scoring. He reserves his bikes and his walkers.
I fail to seize!
Flaming lips turn 1:
Spoiler:
He moves up with his riptide and takes some shots at me and then jumps back behind. the wraithknight moves up some and shoots but damage is minimal as it only has 2 shots and I make it a glance on my shields. His spiritseer with the wraithguard turbo boost to my far right flank.
TK Turn 1:
Spoiler:
I get my powers off to twin link my weapons. The tau commander gives his guys tank hunter. I fire at the immediate priority target of the serpent. I dont destroy it but I manage to wreck it. The squad files out and I pepper it killing 3 of the wraithguard. Not much else happens this turn.
Flaming lips turn 2:
Spoiler:
His war walkers arrive from reserve and move in to shoot my wave serpents in the rear armor. This never happens thanks to early warning override. Between firing SMS and Railguns all 3 war walkers are killed upon arrival. The wraithknight responds in kind and shoots at my broadsides causing two wounds. I roll los and roll , . . I make one of the saves but the other is failed and I lose my buff commander. His wraithguard advance and the wave serpent in the back shoots and kills my serpent on the right flank. His riptide advances and moves forward.
TK Turn 2:
Spoiler:
I finish killing off his wraithguard and spirit seer. In addition, the wave serpents fire at his wave serpent that is now absent a shield. They manage to wreck it. The broadsides without the buffs of the commander only manage 1 wound on the wraithkngiht. The guardian defenders move up some after being forcefully disembarked in the last turn. I try to make cover and hopefully tie up the wraithknight if needed in later turns.
Flaming lips turn 3:
Spoiler:
Bikes make it in from reserve and he starts advancing the fire warriors and riptide. His riptide attempts to overheat but takes a wound. The wraithknight moves up 12" to end right in front of me. His riptide kills a few drones and a broadside. The wraithknight charges my guardian defenders and sweeps them wiping the squad. Both MC's are closing the distance.
Mid-game Analysis:
Spoiler:
With the buff commander dead and no bright lances in sight I have no real way to defeat his wraithknight or even the riptide for that matter. I am in trouble. If I cant stop either then he can move up and contest my objectives late or possibly kill off my troops.
TK turn 3:
Spoiler:
My war walkers(scatter lasers) outflank along the bottom table edge. I move out of range of interceptor with my walkers. All my vehicles shoot the wrathknight along with the war walkers. However, he makes good saves and I fail to kill the wraithknight.
Flaming lips turn 4:
Spoiler:
His wraithknight jumps up and charges the broadsides. I manage to do some damage but the farseer is out of range to fight. He sweeps the unit. The riptide shoots my wave serpents but i make my saves.
TK Turn 4:
Spoiler:
My warwalkers come in on the bottom side along with the kroot. They come in by his top left objective. The kroot shoot and kill some bikers on his back left objective. He kills some. I finally bring down the wraithknight. I turbo one of my wave serpents up the left flank to help the kroot out. I shoot the riptide and do a wound but it lives. I move my yellow serpent back to prevent his bikes from getting some rear shots on it. I dont shoot the shield.
Flaming lips turn 5:
Spoiler:
He moves the riptide back to secure his back objective where the kroot are. He shoots with the bikes and the riptide and kills all but three kroot. Two units of jetbikes turbo to my right flank objective hiding behind the hill some. His fire warriors run back to consolidate that objective along with his dire avengers. The kroot pass their leadership.
TK Turn 5:
Spoiler:
I move the forward wave serpent up and disembark to join the kroot on his top left objective. The scatter laser walkers shoot his bikes on my objective along with 2 units of dire avengers and two wave serpents. I manage to kill them off. The kroot and guardians shoot his farseer jetbikes but the farseer survives. The game ends!
Post Game Analysis and results:
Spoiler:
Primary: TK Secondary: TK Tertiary: TK Total pts: 20
Game Analysis: Holy ! Those wraithknights are hard to kill. I have a new found respect for them. They are fast moving and pack a punch. Sure it sucked failing LOS but still it sweeped two squads and my farseer. This game was to close for comfort. I will have to earn my keep in this event. Alex was a good player and a great opponent. I look forward to a possible rematch sometime. Sorry for the lack of pictures. I didnt do it too much because it was a live feed game.

It's going to depend on terrain. If there is enough LOS-blocking terrain, then he has a chance to win. Otherwise, you have a major advantage by going 2nd and your guns out-range his for the most part.

Its nova, there is plenty of LOS blocking terrain. Was surprised not to see that many nids represented. As for the report... trying to get my pictures uploaded but I lost my usb cord. So searching for alternative methods.

Did you take a support system on the broadsides like target locks so that your Broadsides and Missile Drones could have shot at two different units? Or Early Warning Override for Intercept?
Edit. Well I suppose intetceptor wouldn't be that useful with that loadout.

Note: I apologize in advance for how piss poor my army looks. I spent the last two weeks living out of a back pack in the fields of kansas. So I did not have time to paint up my army to anything more then 3 color minimum. My Open army will actually be painted to a higher regard as the 56th was my first GT army.
I am curious as to why? I am hoping it is for a hunting season I might have missed, I just moved to CO but I spend a decent amount of time in KS due to the inlaws.

I'm a little confused by your opponent's army list-- I think a Cadre Fireblade might be much more effective than an Ethereal in that sort of composition. That said, congratulations on the win. It sounds like it was a very intense match!
Alex is very very good and typically plays the unusual "white dwarf" style armies. He's kicked my butt the 3 games we've played againt each other so kudos on taking him down first round TK.
