So bored at work today I set about building an imperial and rebel list for a game tomorrow night, decided to theme it and ended up researching a lot of the pilots. Now everyone's aware of the Luke, Wedge, Biggs combo but does anyone play different themed lists...

I liked a battle of yavin 'doomed' rebel list of Garven, Dutch & Biggs and a yavin imperial list of Vader and his black squadron, his wingmen Mauler Mithel& Backstabber and Dark Curse (killed by a wall, Han & Wedge respectively).

Any others being played? Deeper in the fluff the better.

Yeh I've played the Death Star II trench run list, Lando, Wedge and a Rookie A-Wing, it made for a surprisingly good list

Think you can just squeeze Horton in with Wedge and Lando, no upgrades but 3 who went in and came out!!

You'd need Tycho as well for that list- You can really pick and choose that one!

What B wing pilots were present at the 2nd Death Star? Was Wedge in an A-Wing by that time? Amazing how little I know about this stuff...

Ten Numb and Ibtisam were both present in B-Wings at the Battle for Endor, Wedge was in his normal X-Wing.

Tycho and Arvel both flew A Wings, with Horton in a Y-wing at the same battle, loads of options for themed lists on both sides!

Oh and of course Lando in the falcon!!

My son and i have played a number of games where its a "what if" --

Ive got Slave I and a few ties and hes piloting the Falcon with Lando and chewie..

As if Chewie and Lando persue Boba and the ties have to escort the Slave I off the board..

My buddy plays a list we call "Horton's Heroes". It's a Rogue Squadron themed list with Horton in a Y -Wing and a pair of Red Squadron X-Wings.

Now, not meaning to hit the nerd panic button but I'm not sure Horton belongs in a Rogue Squadron list! I think on the current roster you can get away with Tycho, Wedge and Luke as bona fide Rogue Squadron pilots.

Still as an Endor themed list, you're golden with Horton!

Salm worked with them for a while, but he wasn't IN Rogue Squadron.

I'm tempted to try some Wraith Squadron lists - loads of weird combinations there as they often captured and used imperial ships. When the Corellian Corvette comes out you could do the Night Caller (+ Ties and X-wings), or could do a mix of Ties and Interceptors as the Hawk-bats, or some of the missions with the Millenium Falcon and Blue Squadron's A-Wings, or Horton Salm's Y-Wings... Lots of potential for cool fluffy lists there.
