Hello Everyone

I'm in quite the predicament. I have a custom Storm Eagle I have been building and all I need to finish this project is some rocket pods/missile racks for the top of the vehicle. If anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated.

Pictures of my project below-

I think the Whirlwind missile racks make for perfectly acceptable storm-eagle rockets. You might need to shorten them a touch to get them to fit over your wings.

Not bad, the only thing is those are expensive to buy just the whirlwind attachment. =(

Paulson Games do some rather nice missile pods of varying sizes. They are mostly for Tau I think, but they look pretty cool and you might find one that tickles your fancy.

Make some boxy shapes for the housing, and for the missile heads, use some instant mold, press some pen tips into it, and pack them with green stuff.

Or just buy a box of 50 Bic ball point pens for very little and cut the nibs off

How about the missile racks from a sentinel?

No one ever seems to use them and they are quite nice looking.

They are nice looking indeed, but far too small for this purpose. I have one on my chaos sentinel.

I don't think Bics will have the exact right shape. The caps might work better though.

I used a ballpoint pen nib for the refuelling prong on my counts-as. You can just about see it in the picture below (its zoomable). I think the old-school Bic nib is a pretty good shape for a missile warhead, but all of this is subjective of course The caps now all have the vent thing though, don't they? You could try and fill the hole, but you would end up with very square ended missiles.

Could use some missile pods from a drop pod, get four of them that would be just right. Not sure how much it would be to do that though. Otherwise, if you have a whirlwind launcher, you could make it so you can use it as a whirlwind on a rhino, or attach it to your Storm Eagle, use some magnets to attach it on.

A little spendy, but these would look great.

Similarly, the forgeworld marine aa launchers might be of use

I converted the measurements into us and those would be perfect, but unfortunately they are not selling them right now.

These.

I think these would work out well. If not, use them to make your own whirlwind conversion....

Best of luck!
