Basically, come up with some fluff and rules for what it does in game, and comment on each other's items. Remember to say what army it is for!

For example:

The Mace of Helstrum - Space Marine Chapter Relics, 40 points
It is unknown what world this mace was forged in, but its simple design of a large metal ball on a handle shaft belies its deadly power.

Range: -; Strength: +2; AP: 4; Melee; Concussive, Master Crafted, Helstrum Strike*

*Helstrum Strike: When this character attacks, he may forgo all his attacks and bonus attacks to make a single Helstrum Strike attack. If he does so, the weapon strikes at Strength: 10, AP: 1 and has the Instant Death and Armourbane special rules.

The Vorpal Blade - 25pts
During the celestial horrors of the Horus Heresy, the god Tzeench foresaw a multitude of possible futures stemming from the events on Golia IV, a relatively unimportant Imperial mining world, where it was seen that "two titanic beings would expose their true face, only to be banished from all records and their existence hidden from human memory". Hoping to avoid such an event, as these beings would inevitably swing the outcome of the Heresy in favour of the Chaos Gods, Tzeench crafted a single blade, and delivered it to Golia in a fireball. The blade is of poor quality compared to other of Imperial origin: crudely-forged iron with a brass wire-wrapped handle, yet within the blade itself contains a portion of Tzeench's very own essence. Rather than infusing the blade with a Lord of Change or other Daemonic entity, Tzeench himself removed a portion of his own psychic potential and embedded it within the very atoms that make up the scratched, chipped surface.

While the act was similar to removing a drop of water from an ocean, the psychic might within the blade was of immesurable power. The blade itself knows the fate of every living being in the universe, both Human and Xenos. It is the blade which decides who lives, and who dies, rather than who wields it. During the events of Golia, the blade was recovered by an Ultramarine Legionary known as Vorpalia Serpherus, who slew the Dark Apostle X'ancar of the Word Bearer with a single grazing blow, yet he himself was killed by a small team of Cultists, when the blade was simply deflected from the humans' crude, leather clothing.

The Vorpal Blade has the following profile:
Range: -
S: User
Ap: D6*
Type: Melee, Shred

*Roll a D6 to determine the Ap of the weapon each Fight Sub-Phase. Models with the Mark of Tzeench may re-roll the D6.

Is the blade a Daemon weapon?

I quite like the liquefier idea, but I have the feeling it could get a bit more (maybe in flavour rather than power?)

Otherwise, pretty cool, nice fluff!

Spear of Ancient Days (Eldar Remnant of Glory) - 50pts

This spear was forged millennia ago during the height of the Eldar race's power and decadence.

When the Chaos God Slaanesh was born from the warp as a result of the Eldar's fall from grace, the tip of the spear was plunged into a sacrificial altar during the orgiastic rites of depravity indulged in by the Eldar pleasure cults. As the Prince of Pleasure burst into unholy life, the spear absorbed a fraction of the pain and anguish of the entire Eldar race as their souls were ripped from their bodies and their future was reduced to that of wandering nomads on the slow path to their own extinction.

Because of the highly psychic nature of the Eldar race, the spear is anathema to those touched or created by the power of the warp but can also cause spasms of terror in ordinary mortals.

Range: -
STR: User
AP: 3
Special Rules: Psyker bane, Ancient Horror

Warp Bane: When the bearer of the Blade directs his attacks against a model with the Psyker or Daemon special rule during the Fight sub phase, his strength is doubled, the blades’ attacks count as AP1 and has the Instant Death special rule.

Because of this, the Blade may not be taken by a model with the Psyker or Daemon special rule.

Ancient Horror: The fabric of the blade still reverberates with the agony of the Eldar at the time of the Fall. When wielded in battle, this suffering can be directed at the enemies of the bearer.

The bearer of the blade counts as a ML2 Psyker with the Psychic Shriek and Horrify powers from the Telepathy and Runes of Battle disciplines. Note that the bearer does not gain the Embolden aspect of the Runes of Battle power like a psyker normally would.

Ferocious Black Templar Castellan

Sweden

Durendal, Blade of Sigismund

Durendal, the true sword of Sigismund, First Captain of the Imperial Fists Legion, High Marshal of the Black Templars and Emperor's Champion, was forged during the Dark Age of Technology. A completely flawless weapon, with craftsmanship matched only by a handful of human-made artifacts in the Imperium, the sword is an obsidian black, forged from an alloy that has long since passed beyond the skill of the Adeptus Mechanicus to understand, let alone replicate. The sword is weighted perfectly, so that it is perfectly balanced no matter who wields it, changing as it adapts to every new wielder.

The sword served as the inspiration for the ten Black Swords of the Black Templars and has been passed down from Sigismund to the Reclusiam of the Black Templars, where it remains to this day. Only the greatest of Emperor's Champions may claim this relic, having already proven themselves as beyond even other Champions in dedication and skill.

Codex: Space Marines relic
130 points - One-handed weapon, model on foot only (so no jump packs or bikes, fight like a proper Champion damn you!)

Range: Melee
Str: +2
Ap: 1
Str: +2

Durendal may only be taken by a Chapter Master taken from a Black Templars detachment. If Durendal is taken, the detachment may not include an Emperor's Champion - the carrier of this sword is a Paragon among champions. The Chapter Master taking the sword loses his Orbital Bombardment attack - he doesn't have time to call down fire support when he's carrying the blade of Sigismund himself into battle! The wielder of Durendal may always reroll failed to hit and to wound rolls and always counts as inflicting Instant Death. Furthermore, the wielder of Durendal gains the Eternal Warrior Special Rule, to represent him being the ultimate Emperor's Champion since Sigismund himself.

Since it's inevitably going to draw complaints about being OP, a Chapter Master with Durendal and nothing else clocks in at 260 points. A Khorne Lord with the Axe clocks in at around 140 points, and while a Chapter Master with Durendal would be more dangerous (to 2+-wound models at least, Rank and File would fall over just as easily to a Juggerlord), he's also more expensive by far.

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.

How I became a spaghetti monster. Aka: Gift of Your Forces.

Tyranid warrior upgrade. 15 points. This item does not use any hands, claws, appendages of any sort or psychic abilities to carry.

The equipped warriors stats are all replaces with the number of force organization slot types that have had a model destroyed in this battle (both sides), except for toughness and wounds which are replaced with this number +1. Leadership and saves remain as printed (though other modifiers still apply.

For example, if your opponent has lost at least one model of heavy support and troops choice, and you have lost at least one model of HQ choices, but no elites, fast attack, or dedicated transport models have been destroyed, the equipped warrior would have the following stats:

WS BS S T W I A ld + Saves

3 3 3 4 4 3 3 As printed (Modifiers apply)

A model with this upgrade regenerates to its full number of wounds at the end of each players turn.

This upgrade *must* be represented by the official model, which is available for $150.

Da Big 'amma of Gork
With dis 'ere big 'amma I can smash dem beakies no sweat, follow me lads!

Da Big 'amma of Gork is, as you may have guessed, a rather large Hammer. Such is the nature of the Orks that innumerable such Hammers exist, as to any propa Ork the biggest hammer in the army is automatically "Da Big 'amma of Gork". Whilst a formidable weapon already due to its size, Da Big 'amma of Gork becomes even moreso for the mere reason that the Orks think it does. I mean after all, dat hammer is huge, nuffin should survive a good *whack* from it.

Da Big 'amma of Gork costs 30 points, and is a melee weapon that has the following profile;
Strength: As user, +2, AP: -, Special: Two Handed, Strikedown, Master Crafted, Bash!, Whack 'im good!

Bash!: Any glancing or penetrating hits from this weapon cause a Crew Shaken result in addition to any other result of the hit. Two or more such hits in one assault phase will cause a Crew Stunned result instead. In addition, the Strikedown effect of this weapon applies to Monstrous Creatures, but only if they suffer an unsaved wound (not if the wound is saved, as in the case of other models)

Whack 'im Good: Each unsaved wound caused by the bearer of Da Big 'amma of Gork inspires da boyz around him to fight harder. Count each such wound as two wounds for the purposes of combat resolution.

Death screech of a thousand worlds.
When The Emporer was in the middle of his great crusaude, he and his legions of marines came to a planet system over run by the orks. With the might of the Emporer, the Orks stood no chance. World after World was cleansed from the filthy stench of green skins, until the marines and the Emporor came to the last world in the system, crymarious. THe world was litterlally writhing in green, the planets surface, usually a dark red, had been turned a light green from all of the Orks on the planets surface. The Emporer ordered an orbital bombadment immediatly.
But, just as they were about to split the planet in half from the might of the bombardemt, a distress call was issued from the planets surface. A detachment of imperial gaurd and there commisioner were beneath the planets surface, holding a relic of uncountable value. Stopping the bombardment from happening, the Emporer issued a kill team to strike and cleanse the orks around where the imperial gaurd were hiding. As the Storm raven streaked towards the battle field, the orks anti air guns began to rattle off. At first, the shots were enefictive, easily rebounding off the storm raves enforced armour. But, as more and more shots were rattled off, the storm raven suffered a critical hit. The storm raven fell toward the surface, and thudded into the ground, killing orks. Even before the storm raven stopped, the surviving marines came out firing there explosive rounds into the endless swarm of orks. Slowly but surely, the orks fell and died. They made their progress, making every shell count, killing two to three orks with every shot. As there bolters ran out of ammunition, they pulled out pistols and there small arms, continuing to kill the orks. For the last 100 meters, they fought hand to hand, brother by brother. They finally reached the imperial guard bunker, with only a mere 3 marines surviving. AS they enterd the bunker underground, they came apon a curios sight. Dead imperial guard were strewn apon the bunker everywhere. The marines were confused, because the Orks hadn’t been let in, and the only wounds on the imperial guardsmen were las wounds. A strange glow filled the space, a throbbing red light. In the center of the room, a strange coffin like box issued the red light. Surrounding it were the dead bodies of guardsmen. Suddenly it dawned on them, all of the imperial guardsmen had killed themselves, exposed to whatever was in the crate. Slowly they approached, combat knifes ready. As they opened the lid, a horrendous screech issued from the box. The marines knew then and there that tzeench had already don’t its work. The marines closed the lid, and escaped from the planet’s surface in a different thunder hawk. The space marines fleets destroyed the planet, and thought that they artifact was destroyed. But they were wrong. Millinum later, a regiminet of imperial guard came across the box on a death world, and opened it…. Forever damning them to the horrors of the chaos God, tzeench. Bringing rhe cursed artifact to their legions cursed master of the forge, the damned tech marine got tzeenches blessing and with an unknown method made the screech into a demonic blade.
The Death screech of a thousand worlds is an unique artifact for chaos space marines.

The Unfit Crozius

In Low Gothic, it sounds rather unsavoury. In High Gothic however, its name means the Sacred Crozius. The Unfit Crozius is said to be the first of its kind, the original pattern upon which all furture Crozii were based. It is made from solid adamantium, which makes it incredibly heavy and devastating, and its potent powerfield generator allows it to smash aside most armour with ease. The Unfit Crozius is normally held by a Chapter's Master of Sanctity, though it can also be carried by Captains or Chapter Masters. The Unfit Crozius is a sacred weapon, and he who wields it must be of peerless zeal and faith. And then multiply the total by 100. If the initial roll is a double, the weapon jams and no shots are fired. However, in the Ork players next shooting phase, the number is added on to the shots fired.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
