Splattered With Acrylic Paint

Let me give you a little background before I ask this question so that maybe you guys can get an idea of what I am talking about. I volunteer at 2 different gaming stores during my time off from being a full time diesel mechanic so I have very little time at home to actually hobby, I had an idea to build a mobile hobby station that will store all my paints, tools and brushes as well as possibly a lamp attachment and a small work table/ work surface. I have been looking around online for a couple days and can not find anything sold by stores so I figure I would have to build one, has anyone else done something like this and can post pictures or give me some tips, any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. I thank you all in advance for the help and I will be starting a work log as soon as I start this project.

I have a dedicated hobby space at home, but it's size is quite small so I developed a simple, condensed and highly mobile setup.
It consists of:
one of the GW plastic paint stations (yes it was overpriced, but it's sturdy, level, very light compared to an MDF equivalent, and the version I bought came with 2 water pots, 2 palettes and a cutting mat)
A 'generic hobby box' (the plastic toolbox-style affairs you can get from pretty much anywhere) with all my paints, tools, etc in. It just happened to be slightly smaller than the paint station so the two fit together quite snugly. In total it's about the size of a large laptop bag (but much 'thicker') and I can carry the entire thing in a backpack if need be.
A lamp might be a struggle, compared to the rest of the 'hobbyists kit' I would say they are the most awkward parts, they tend to be bulky, and the bulb is in danger of being damaged, and they also require power. What about one of 'strap-to-your-head-torches' with a decent LED bulb in it?

Ive seen 'helping hands' (you know those little arms with crocodile clips on) with led lamps attached, sometimes magnifying lenses with lamps.
Might be suitable for mobile lighting?

http://www.whalenstorage.com/category/Garage-Industrial/group/Carts/5%20Drawer%20Tool%20Cabinet - A nice tool cabinet, not sure what size you are wanting, but would hold your tools and paints, plus has a work surface, and get a folding stool and some clips to attach it to the side, and you have a mobile hobby station.
http://www.whalenstorage.com/category/Garage-Industrial/group/Carts/3%20Tier%20Stainless%20Steel%20Cart - This would be a lighter table you could use, and modify with a tool box or some small plastic containers with drawers you could attach to it.
http://www.whalenstorage.com/category/Garage-Industrial/group/Carts/Stainless%20Rolling%20Table - Same thing as above, just a bigger table surface, but could add some containers for storage.
http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/mobile-workshop-and-toolbox.aspx?a=908069 - Here is a mobile tool box that could work as well. You would have to come up with something to add to it for a work top, but would be easy to wheel around and carry most everything you need.
http://www.boltonhardware.com/category/bolton-tools/tool-box-tool-case-tool-chest/bolton-tools-consumer-storage-pro-mobile-tool-chest.php - This could be good to, storage with a good work surface, just need something to sit on, would be low to the ground though.
I found all these from going on google and typing in mobile tool box. I guess it all depends on how big, and how much you want to spend.
Hope this helps out.

If you want something really portable then a fishing tackle box is great as it has lots of storage compartments. I have a large one that I use for all my tools and scratch building materials like ball bearings and washers.
I currently use the old wooden gw paint station that is a fair bit larger than the new plastic one. This one looks even better: http://www.hobbyzone.pl/pl/18-profesjonalny-stolik-do-malowania-figurek-i-modeli.html
They have a big range of options.
Edit: heres my tool box

Here's mine
Cut off the back of a cereal box. This works great as both a palette as it is glossy enough to mix and thin paint on and also protects the surface like newspaper.
Use 1 or 2 rubber bands around my brushes and wrap about 2 feet of toilet roll around the bristles as this provides the tissue to clean the water and excessive paint, spills and protection for the brushes that's don't have plastic covers.
All my paints (GW and 1 Vallejo) in a small GW plastic bag. I know some people put them in their figure cases but I am always afraid they'll pop open and repaint my models.
A small leather utility pouch with 2 zip up compartments, one containing my clippers, glue and files and the other my pin vice, hobby knife and a third buttoned up compartment with spare blades. It can be fit into a small bag or attached to a belt by loops.
My razor saw if I think I'l need it.
A small rucksack.

I think the Stalwart 24.5 in. Deluxe Mobile Workshop and Toolbox or one of the other fatmax boxes has some promise. of most which are available at big box stores so you can see it in person.
All you would need to do is retrofit the top with some mdf or other work surface and it should do great.
then you can add a clip on lamp like http://www.walmart.com/ip/Generic-LAMP1BR-COM-Mainstays-Clip-Task-Lamp-Brown/24538541 and you would be set.
