I'm putting together a Command Rhino for my Chapter Master and need some help on what Bits to use. I've covered the door and hatch with the bits from the Dark Angels flier and put some of the other bits on the front but the top looks very plain still. Any suggestions on how to decorate the top (even using 3rd party bits) would be great.

Thanks.

The radar dish could work but it wasn't my first thought because I need to keep the top clear in case I want to kit this out as a Razorback. I was thinking more along the lines of the Rhino being a religious icon than a tactical support vehicle.

I've uploaded a couple of pictures so you guys can get a better grasp of what I'm doing.

It started out fairly well, but it looks a little sparse for a treasured Chapter relic. I'm really interested in any ideas for beefing up the "mobile church" aspect as much as possible. I'm using the Ravenwing icon as my chapter badge so that's why you see it so prominently here. The thing is, I don't want to be stuck with "just" Ravenwing bits. I want Sister of Battle to be jealous of this.

On your planet, burning your men!

Scroll work, etchings and that sort of stuff, on any flat surface apply a thing layer of GS and "etch" in litanies/prayers whatever, should look good I did it on my dread, allthough i'm not that good at tiny GS sculpting.

So, I dug through my bits box and came up with a ton of vehicle banners, purity seals, some censors/braziers, etc. That will help a little but those go on last. Going to check with friends to see if I can get those fiery Flagellant heads and use them on top of the engine exhausts.

I checked out Scibor but I only saw stuff there suitable for Land Raiders. Anyone have recommendations for 3rd party stuff I could look at?

Not 3rd party but how about some stuff off of this set: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440008a&prodId=prod1290008a
One of the mausoleums on top of the tamk may look rather nifty, though maybe slightly OTT? The statue would be cool as well if you DA it up a bit.

I think what you have so far already looks very good, no need to bling it up even more. A lot will come down to the painting you do on it.

I think what you have is quite nice. I know over-the-top detail packing is a very 40k thing to do, but I think you are at a good point. Don't forget that one of the small hatches needs a stormbolter, and the other one can have the radar dish or something else stuck on it. The only think I might add would be a couple of purity seals hanging off the side.

Something to think about. I have to get ahold of one at a reasonable price though. Guess I can slough through the auction sites.

You could pull a bunch of side armor pieces out of a SoB Vehicle Kit, those typically have some pretty cool stylings to them.

I think it looks great, but if you wanted to add more, some of those banners you dug up, put them near the front.

Share some pics once you get it painted too!!!

I do like the pipe organ but the problem with this idea is that it would look like an Exorcist and not a Chapter relic that a Chapter Master would ride around in. It would also be unworkable as I need to swap out the top hatch to put whichever Razorback gun I need should I not want to use a full retinue.
