The only thing that has to be seen to be believed is the appalling grammar and typos in that "article", I've seen better examples in the comment section of YouTube...

It's listed under humor. Still, it's just playing up sterotypes like 99% of the other GW humor articles that have been circulating around for cheap laughs. It's like some weird defense mechanism to justify the hobby to the masses. I would be honestly amazed if one of these articles actually took the high road and sat down to introduce people to what a hobby looks like rather than self hating humor in a bass ackwards attempt to warm people to it.

That would require:
- The drive to do so.
- The self-confidence to put yourself out there.
- The social skills to not start frothing at the mouth when you start talking about bolters and chainswords.

He should have written it in brown text, because it's absolute Bullsh!t.

Reminds me of the wait for the coach to Games Day yesterday morning. Some of the Saturday drunks still trying to find their way home at 6am. There was the knocking on the windows and yells of "nerds" and "virgin" with the cheap looking girl shouting that we should ignore them and that we had the power. Made us laugh. They left after 5 minutes and we were back to browsing the store waiting for the coach.

Poorly written, and the spelling of key points like when he asserts we are WIERD just kills the credibility (if any) of this random net blogger.

A pointless whatever it is, written by a 14 year old. Give it all the gravity it deserves, gents, some body in the store must have cut grass on the writers girlfriend.

Taking a look, the article is penned by CSJ Wilkinson, a freelance writer who's also found on other sites (https://www.constant-content.com/Author/74904-CSJ_Wilkinson-details-6.htm , http://www.guru.com/freelancers/Creative-Writer-Copywriter-Article-Press-Web-Content-Newsletter-Writing/United-Kingdom/Norwich/1588323) and has his own website (http://csjwtheword.webs.com) that states that "all projects will be considered", but that also states there are specialities. Subjects like Games Workshop are not included in those specialities.

I'm not sure whether his articles on bubblews are purchased, or just him writing, but the fact that the website exists to make the writer money from ad revenue, and bearing in mind his career as a freelancer, it suggests that he wrote this in much the same way that newspapers such as The Daily Mail write their stories: out of complete ignorance of the subject and with the intent to cause enough interest through the spreading of the badly-researched content that sales are generated off of curiosity and people wanting to read it themselves.

Praise and well-researched content doesn't draw nearly the same amount of interest.
