Hi there, I've been painting my first Squad of IG,
(Mephiston Red and Mournfang Brown Camo, with Abaddon Black Leather and Leadbelcher Metal Highlights).

I was wondering how I'd paint the Missile Itself, in order to not look completely at odds with this colour scheme, but also standing out at the same time... I was thinking a bright orange? What do you guys think?

You could just silver them and then throw a red tip on. or bright orange and black. I'd say just make the back end of the missile match one of your models colors, then you could add a bright pop out on the nose cone or the fins.

What about olive drab, or a khaki? a bright orange missile is a bit of a liability in the field I would have thought

I can't imagine the Guard would spend much time painting their missiles so I always just paint them grey, with maybe a red warhead. Bright orange might look a bit out of touch with camoflauged troops.

I usually go with a white/bone missile, maybe a red warhead. White usually goes with everything~

Leave it metal but scribble something like "Special delivery"

always painted mine white.

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

Olive Drab or Grey for the missile would work but paint the tip red/orange/yellow to signify that it's real ordance and not training/inert which is blue.
