Didn't feel like paying a zillion euros for two TFCs, so decided to kitbash two of my own. At first i did only the turrets, but then i had the problem of getting two techmarines from somewhere. Decided then to make use of my two stormtalon pilots that i didn't use and made benches for them and mounted them to the back of the cannon. I then got a few flames of war sherman tanks cheap and mounted the turrets onto them and added some plates to the front to hide the distinctive sherman fronts a bit. Now i just need to paint them

The turrets are kitbashed from IG, ork and space marine bits. The benches and thechmarines are made from spare parts from the stormtalon kit.

Cost me like 10€ to make two as basically had to buy the shermans used from a friend and had all the other parts in my pitbox allready

Looks good my only concern is you can't seperate the techmarine from the gun, so if your gun dies and the techmarine doesn't what are you going to do.

If the gun get's destroyed, i'll either just put a regular marine onto the table and remove the gun, or if my opponent isn't happy with this, remove the whole unit. Not that big a deal to me

that's a really clever idea. seems a bit tall relative to the original model, but since that works more for your opponent than for you I can't imagine anyone giving you grief over it. the position of the right hand, though... yeah. that might get some laughs on the table

Hey! What the heck are those techmarines doing with their right hands?!....... not quite sure if its a family friendly conversion.....

In all reality though nice job on the conversion! I'm actually going to be doing a little scratch building myself soon so that I can magnetize and use the TFC from the LR achilles i got as a TFC should I want to. I bought some third party treads, but im still looking for inspiration for the body and external parts.

That looks cool!!!

The big bulky launcher kind of fits in the marine style, so I think once painted up in your army, they should look great.

I would suggest maybe a second model to represent the tech marine - as there kind of should be a second model (for blasts, los, assaults, etc.). So maybe put a stack of ammo, or a gothic targeting thing, or just anything you think looks cool on base the same size as the tech marine.

thanks for sharing!

I think i'm gonna just carry a couple of extra bases around and use them to represent, where the TM is standing. Oh and some people have dirty minds, me included
