Could be, they had several Tu'na on display, though in my defence, I can't be arsed to bother with the Tau, not my army.

Wasn't that much to see in all honesty, nothing new aside from Blood Bowl (see that thread for the info) and we saw stuff that has been previewed online ages ago, but with no solid release date, as teasing is better than pleasing..

They aren't new. New things were Russ and the Macrocarid Mechanicum tank.

Maybe this pic shows the pose problem. That is a seriously cattywampus running pose. Looks like he is trying to change directions mid stride.

I dare anyone to run and get into that position while running...

He is trying to turn right while his sword is going left. There is going to be a collision at some point and Mr. Russ is about to fall flat on his face, assuming he does not cut himself in half with this own sword...

There's all sorts of perspective trickery afoot, admittedly, but that sword doesn't look straight to my eye.

I think my biggest gripe with Russ is that he's a huge, heavily armored Primarch, and yet his steps look absurdly light for running into battle. There's no sense of weight or solidity in how his foot connects with the base. The pose looks as though the front foot is landing, not yet pushing off, so it shouldn't be raised up on the toes/ball of the foot yet, at that point in the stride.

He is mid stride dodging an incoming attack while preparing for a backward slash counter attack.

Imagine a large weapon traversing top right to lower left (from our perspective) as he is rushing forward.

Exactly! I think the pose is fine, but would look even cooler with a few wolves running alongside him

It'd be shame, though...adding all that dust and blood to the Russ model would obscure all those lovely sculpted details.

Only been back in to gameswork shop games the last couple of months. Picked up the betrayal set on Saturday, making the marines in to space wolves and now russ is coming out. Hmm looks like he's going on the Xmas list.

I really hope that is not Ventanus. I can't see how they could release such a big and well known character in such a way, it would surely be released as part of the HH Character series? Ventanus is the Ultramarines equivalent of Alexis Pollux or Loken, he is a big name.

Really limited quantities around here, the local GW store in Utrecht will only get 17 of them and has been taking pre-orders via Facebook.
