Adepticon 2014.(not sure if this is the right place to post this question)
Hi folks, I had such a good time in 2013 that I will be back in the US for Adepticon 2014. The big question is what classes to teach? Please let me know what you would like to see. Last year I taught sell out classes of OSL and face sculpting, this year I am thinking of doing another OSL class and a class or two of something else, perhaps 'working with resin miniatures' would be appropriate.
Many thanks,
V

Weathering techniques could be a good one, I think.

I'd wager OSL is popular enough for another round, it seems to be the go to 'I want to be better so I'm going to learn a new technique'.

NMM would be cool too and, speaking as someone who would love to get into sculpting the odd bit here and there but has no clue where to begin, a 'sculpting for dummies' one could be cool too.

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

I took that class in university... I think it could be sufficiently summed up in an hour to two hour segment at AdeptiCon

I second the 'sculpting for newbs' as well as OSL.

Conversions and how to do them. Or scratch building.
I do many of these, and am quite good, but the amount of bad ones out there warrants a lecture in this.

Victoria, I was in your first OSL class this year and found it very helpful for getting my process down. Thanks again! I'm sure there are plenty of people who missed out the first time who'd sign up this year.

I think sculpting with a specific focus on conversions might be a good niche.

I dont know how pertinent or capable it would be, but I'd love to see an "advanced basing" class that went over doing some things like pouring resins for water, etc. I've tried doing it a few times and I've always jacked up some elelment of it.

I'll be attending Adepticon for the first time this year and would enjoy a good class on OSL.

OSL or tasteful NMM (emphasis on how to make it tasteful ... there's a ton of over the top NMM out there) would be the two on my wishlist.
