So, do you take the FNP roll BEFORE all armor saves that you would take, THEN take the armor save if you fail the FNP roll, or do you take the FNP roll INSTEAD of the armor save?

FNP after failed save.

You take your cover, armour or inv save.

If you fail it and have FNP, and if the attack does not deny fnp,you then roll fnp on those failed saves as a second chance to live.

the key is the phrase 'unsaved wound'. This means a wound that was not stopped during the save step, and that could be because...

The model had no save to begin with.

The model has been denied its only save,

You rolled the dice and failed to save.

Any other reason I may be missing.
