Howdy ya'll. I'm a broke college student and access to a ton of Space Marine models so, in the interest of keeping my list competitive without spending money, I made some conversions by hacking up bits I had. I want to know what you think of them and if I can improve.

Missile Launcher Guy. I used the HK missile from the Rhino sprue.

Assault Marine with Flamer. IG flamer with some Rhino bits to make up a flamethrower.

Combi Melta Power Fist Sergeant. Boltgun with a IG Leman Russ MM sponson slapped on. I use a ton of IG bits in these conversions.

Same idea different model from a different angle.

Heavy Weapons guy with Plasma gun. IG Plasma Cannon sponson welded to the rear part of a HWT Heavy Bolter.

DV Biker with Grav Gun. Grenade Launcher body turned upside down with the barrel glued to the bottom, part of the HK launcher rail glued to that with the tip of a Mortar serving as the muzzle.

Not Vulkan. Antenna parts from the Rhino Sprue with a Chainsaw blade at the top. The Flamer is an IG CS HF with the other end of the chainsaw serving as the cap for the handle.

Combi flamer. Same basic idea with the HF Sponson

Combi Plasma. A Bolter with a Plasma pistol glued to the top.

So, any suggestions for improving the paintjobs/conversions are appreciated!

Edit:

Jump Chaplain with Power Fist. Regular Assault Marine with Rhino bitz making up the CA.

Do you have needle files? You really need them for this kind of conversion work.

Alas, I do not. I should probably get some considering how many gaps there are.

Your barrells on the combi-melta, conversions are just a bit, "off" and by that I mean angled funny. They all seem to point up, try and file down the the area flatter so they point straight forward. You could also add a small barrel or chamber to the side to make it a bit more obvious it's a melta there and not just a nifty new barrel. Other than that, all good ideas, and the execution is good, just need to clean it up with filing so that there's not a bunch of glue and plastic lines when you paint them.

The missile launcher is my favorite btw.

Many thanks! I really do like how HK missiles look too as missile launchers. It's also an easy conversion.

I'll add the end barrel of a Lasgun as a gas tank. It works strangely enough. I'm also thinking of converting a Heavy Bolter to a multi melta by cutting some parts up and using a chopped up missile from HWT sprue as the barrels. I'd then use a drill to put some holes in. Good idea or bad?

I'm having trouble visualizing what you're describing, but if you've got it in your head, go for it man! Maybe it'll come out awesome!
