We have a campaign going on at our LGS which allows your to gift 3 models a USR, any one you like.

So as I play Nids, I'm thinking EW for Doom, or maybe IC and outflank him with Swarmlord, a Prime and a Guard

Any other amazing USR combo's you guys can think of?

ID on a Flyrant ?

Giving a model IC would be very very powerful.

Give a Helbrute(dreadnaught) IC. Attach him to a unit of 35 cultists.

Proceed to break game.

EW on doom is OP and should never be allowed. completely breaks kill teams if you allow it.

There are no 200 point lists that can kill an EW'd doom unless you get lucky and shoot it to death at 24" away.

Except this is not for a Kill Team game.


That being said, giving doom EW in Kill Teams does give me a nasty idea...

Other than trying to break the game by combining vehicles and infantry together I think you have 2 basic options


Make a huge MC even nastier

Make a squad really really nasty with rules that transfer.
50 guardsmen arent that nasty, but give them shrouding, PE, and tankhunters and they get pretty good. Add a fearless character with stealth and you are really talking.

Horrors should be able to do it. 22 psykers casting 2d6 heavy bolter shots each. Swooping hawks should be able to aswell, just sky leap when he gets close and proceed to grenade to death. An a dread could just lock it in combat and munch it to death over time.

@OP, shrouded, stealth, preferred enemy, tank/monster hunter, and smash are usually the best options for USR in kill teams.

but this isnt Kill Teams, it's a full game

Outnumbered comes to mind, doubling hits in CC is amazing.

EW on things like fateweaver, Daemons princes, swarmlord, Stealth shrouded are very good to add to bike units, if you add them to a herald in screamers they will have a 2+ rerollable cover save.

Hit and Run on screamerstar...

Most of mine are just making screamerstar more broken.


For Nids, Outnumbered and EW on swarmlord will make him the unholy of unholys.

EW on doom seems pretty broken really.

EW and outnumbered on a flyrant can do mean things.

Can you give swarlord deep strike? Would be pretty hilarious.

You could give IC to multiple Monsterous creatures link them all into one massive unit with say 30 gargoyles.

Than you could have swarlord, and 2 tervigons tanking for 30 gargoyles.

Give a Tyrannofex skyfire

Tank hunter to either 1 gargoyle in a brood of 30 or to the parasite and attach to that brood

I think a rending flyrant would be cool

preferred enemy is a waste as it is in the codex

it will not die would be good

Ultimately you're looking at shrouded, EW and skyfire I think.

I'd love to see rending on that IG tank that shoots like 400 shots a turn

There's just so much potential for absolute filth with this that I don't even know where to start.

There's of course the Screamerstar; shrouded, stealth, and hit and run.

And there's the Who-needs-O'Vesa-star; two Riptides with IC, a third with something else nasty (see below), and a Batman Commander.

Or you can go straight into the shady area and give Large Blast to a Riptide with HBC. Or Haywire if you expect armour.

Speaking of Haywire, a Leman Russ Punisher would be pretty amusing with it. Or, again, Large Blast.

Give ignores cover to a vindicator!

Give EW to a captain with cool things.

skyfire for a predator?

large blast to an IC with primarchs wrath/ an assault cannon/ TFC.

Give IC to a landraider. Give something FnP 2+.

Opportunities are endless?

Does brotherhood of psykers count as a USR? if so then stealth shrouded Psyker Black Knights

Is this models or units? And can you give all the USRs to a single model/unit or do they have to be split up? Because if its units then your best bet is to put them all on a really cheap unit and spamming it. My thinking was something like Smash and FNP 2+ (its a USR) on a unit of Gaunts, take the Poison upgrade on them and you have hordes of guys with AP2 that wound everything on at least a 4+. Smash on any cheap horde unit would be amazing really.

EW on doom is just completely broken.

Tank hunter on a dual devourer flyrant would be nasty. BTW if you decide you want the same thing against MC get shred instead of MC hunter as it does the same but with wounds against everything.

Tank hunters on pyrovores would also be good.

Otherwise shrouded on all your tervigons would be just mean.


BTW this campaign will be outright crazy broken. As EW on any chaos FMC is crazy good. Shrouded on pretty much any IG model will also be crazy broken. Have fun with the tank hunter or rend medusa, shrouded 3x vendetta or leman russ squads, etc. I love how open to abuse this is.

I always feel bad with EW on doom.

I like outflank on Swarmy so he can come in with a death star.
