here is my list for DA.

Veteran squad Sgt w/ LC w/ stormshield (with smash) (or should I give him a power maul?)
Veteran w/ plasma gun (twinlinked USR)
Veteran w/ SS and combi flamer w/ melta bombs
Veteran w/ heavy bolter (rending USR)
Veteran w/ power fist and SS

I wouldn't use vets as you don't have that many of them in an army. This looks like it would be fun to play, but not very competitive.

well, its my first KTeam with some friends at my FLGS. So it shouldn't be super competitive armies. on that note however, what would you recommend?

I'd change the PG to ignore-cover rather than TL. Also I'd switch the LC for a maul. Just my opinion.

think if I gave the PG ignore cover, should I keep rending on the HB or make it TL?

I'd give the combi flamer Fleshbane. And keep rending on the heavy bolter.
