Hi all. I am wanting to paint the Tau Sept desert camo but the Fisck masking film that is supposed to work, does not stick the the base coat.

What do you guys use???

I've only mucked around a little with Parafilm "M," but it seems to adhere better to smooth surfaces (it's designed for sealing glass and plastic lab containers, after all). Perhaps hitting the model with a coat of varnish before spraying the pattern would help?

Also, are you burnishing the film down well? It's a must along edges to keep paint from creeping under, but also helps with general adhesion.

Anarchy Models is just about to start sending out its airbrush sencils from its kickstarter - if you can hang off until the new year they will probably be open for general orders. They have a wide range of masks.

In the states the material you are looking for is called frisket paper or frisket tape. Know idea what it is called in the UK.

Also is the basecoat glossy? If try spraying a matte sealer on, it will get the mask to stick better.
