Just got back into 40k after nearly 10 years and nearly finished my space wolf army.
The question I've got is what chapter to paint the chaos marines that are supplied with dv.
Always been an ork and eldar player previously so don't have a clue where to start, just looking for some inspiration as I really like the dv minis.
Any help would be appreciated.
Seeing as they're Chaos, they don't really follow any rules. Could be a good opportunity to come up with your own colour scheme! Pick an aspect of chaos that appeals to you and think of which colours might go with that.
Well generally you could do whatever you like. There are already the big chaos legions you could go with or some of the other chaos warbands.
One thing you could do is choose a color that differs from your other army to create a stronger contrast. Or choose a technique you haven't played with to create mor variation.
Or create a red corsairs pirate warband. They not necessarily repaint all of their original armor and you could add a ton of different color schemes from all the marines that joined them. Just let them look a bit worn and cross out imperial icons or paint a red cross over them.
Thanks I suppose your right but I like the thought even though they are chaos marines that they would still have
a certain kind of uniformity to them. Maybe painted far too many space wolves of late, time to let the mind wander.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Never thought of a red corsairs warband or came across one for that matter, sounds like a great idea. Thanks

Some of these schemes would look great in a corsairs warband I'm thinking and would really mix things up and possibly be quite fun to paint.
Thanks for posting the pics much appreciated.
