The frosting in
this case is simply from an over-application of the product. I use, and really like the Vallejo matt varnish. My personal recipe is as follows;
3 parts Vallejo Matt Varnish
7 Parts Future Solution(basically a 50/50 mix of distilled water and Future Floor Polish)
This leaves a finish that is somewhere between semi-gloss and flat, leaning more toward flat. If you mix straight water, the result is very flat. I choose to add the Future because it gives a little more durability to the finish. The other thing that helps is several thin, quick cotes as opposed to one thick cote.
