Which army would you collect if you had to start again (all your current armies magically disappear and you have £300 with which to build the new army)? What would you do differently? Would you stay the same?

I'd probably collect a fully mechanized Steel Legion force with an allied detachment of BT.

I'd wait for a month, and start up 'Nids, regardless of how good/bad the new codex is. They have a coolness all their own.

I'd probably try out fantasy tbh - I have small WoC and Empire forces but I've never taken it seriously.
However if I stuck to 40k I'd give eldar good go

I currently collect a horde of Orks. I love horde armies but I don't think I could do another one, since I haven't even finished my Orks

If I HAD to start again though I would swing between an Imperial Guard infantry horde (likely Catachans, because green is best), or a Tyranid horde.

I think I would do a guard army, and model them like colonial marines from aliens.

That with modern digital camo paint jobs and sci-fi looking vehicles.

Second bets would be DA and Chaos.

'Grey Marines' to count as Imperial or Traitor with extra options for BA, DA, SW.
Then I'd start replacing my nids and guard.

Squats... err never mind.

I'd give Tyranids a go.

I would probably consider starting a Loyalist Spess Mehreens army, likely Iron Hands or Raven Guard.

However, despite their shortcomings, I really love CSM and I'd probably re-start a Traitor army anyway. I could've made some other choices (not buying DV, taking Obliterators instead of tanks), but that's nothing I can't fix as it is with more monies

Something that isn't 40k. If the thousands of dollars and countless hours of painting I've invested in my DKoK disappeared leaving only $500 to replace them there's just no way I could get back into the game.

I'd upgrade my computer. 300 pounds isn't enough for a new army, especially compared to what I currently have.

£300 is not nearly enough for me to consider building an army compared to what I've already collected.

If I were to start a new army with the same amount of money to spend as what I already have, I would probably wait to see they new Nids codex or failing that, Space wolves

Spess Wolves, Dark Angels, or Grey Knights. I started with Spess Mehreens and I'd likely wind up starting them again in that situation.

Armageddon Steel Legion, the models are ice cool and IG is the manliest of all armies.

Currently have Space Marines, Chaos and a half arsed Ork army.

It would either be the Elyssians or the DKOK, though it's hard to choose between them. I love the pseudo German look of the DKOK but then I also like the idea of an airborne army of light Infantry back up by 1 or 2 light Vehicles. In fact I almost wish this would happen so I could start either! (Almost)

Hm... good question. I like my orks but a horde army is pretty demanding when it comes to painting. Love DKoK but won't see that many models on ebay I fear. Also, horde army.

So either CSM (because versatile and chaos) or Sororitas (because tits).

Something with enough character and personalization potential to match CSM.

So probably Orks.

Well, I'd go with WM/Hordes in the first place and then look for a 40k/fantasy army.

Elysian Airborne or Sororitas.

Honestly if I lost all of my armies and had to restart from scratch I would probably give up completely on 40k. It isn't worth investing in anymore.

If it had to be gw - slaneesh daemons and csm. But as mentioned above, i would probably go with something like FOW and D&D with plenty of hirst arts moulds.

I'd probably have started with Chaos Daemons so I can have an army playable for 40k and Fantasy, which I'm interested in checking out sometime as alot of people play it at the flgs. I've started collecting Chaos for that very reason, but I'm gonna build it up very slowly compared to the insanity that overtook me when I got into the game and started my first army.

Crimson Fists. I like how codex marines play, the lore, etc. I do love my Ultras, but if they went poof, I'd switch my shade of blue.

Space Marines. More specifically, my older brother's Thunder Dragons.

Assuming I would not just choose suicide instead. After all, a life without my beloved Glacier Serpents seems much less worthy of being called a life.

Yeah, I'm keeping my main army (IG praetorians) mostly out of nostalgia now, not because I use them.

I might slowly build/paint a pre-heresy FW force, more as a project then to play.

I love my Tau but if they disappeared since I'm already waiting for the Tyranid codex I'd probably go with them...or Orks

If I was to start a new army thats not one of the armies I already got, I'd pick Orks or Tyranids.

I'm pretty happy with my selection for playing a fluffy Eldar list, although I wouldn't have painted them Alaitoc to start with I'd have gone right away with a lesser Craftworld like I have them changed to now (Yme-Loc).

Out of frustration I'd buy a warhound titan and be someone's lord of war slot
