So I want to organize my 7 heavy weapons toting marines into 2 havoc squads for the sake of argument this is what I have access too
3 auto cannons
2 las
2 missle
Various Flamers, melta, and plasma
I'm trying to figure out how to break them into two squads which would be the best mix of weapons?

1 autocannon squad, 1 las / ML squad.
The logic I use is to try and keep similar weapons together. The autocannons are going to be great for stripping hull points, the Lascannons are going to be great for one-shotting other vehicles. It's been a while since I used MLs but I think their range is closer to that of lascannons, so you want to put them together.

Honestly, try to get a few more heavy guys to make teams of 4 identical heavy guns, then spread the rest across tactical teams.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now. |

I'd get all autocannons if you could. That is such a great weapon. I truly wish vanilla marines could have it.

Amen. Autocannon Havocs are cheap, and put out a large volume of S7 shots for really cheap.

+1 to Autocannon havocs. 115 is a great price for what they do. Splurge for a quad gun and you're putting out 12 S7 shots, 4 of which are TL.

Yeah, sound like a good excuse to do an autocannon conversion to round out that squad. Filch's idea is good, or I've also seen some excellent conversions of heavy bolters into autocannons - that's what's great about Chaos, even their weapons mutate
