I am considering using the Khador Conquest for a stompa conversion, as I am not a fan of the inverted flowerpot look. Does anyone own both or has seen both in close proximity and can tell me how well they scale against one another?

Don't have the model, but the Khador conquest collosal, form a quick google image search looks to me to be approx the height of a drop pod, or maybe some of the biggish monstrous creatures in the 40k setting. But a Stompa is actually pretty big 25-30cm tall or so.

The collosal looks to me to be a closer match for a mega dread in size.

I have a Conquest, but I don`t have the flower pot to compare it to. The Conquest is a bit shorter than a drop pod, and not that much bigger in width, so I`m guessing it is too small for that role.

I own a Conquest and I've seen a Stompa IRL. Conquest is approx 6 1/2 inches to the top of his smoke stacks. A quick search came up with the following dimensions for a Stompa.

Its:
9.5 " from the floor to horn tips
smoke stacks highest point at 11"
7" at the bases widest
20-22" around the stompas skirt/base
6" wide at shoulders

So Conquest would be a little diddy, as I suspected it would be.

Ah that's very disappointing, because I had read the specs for the Conquest on Amazon as 'Product Dimensions: 9.3 x 6.4 x 3.8 inches'

Which got me thinking it might be a good fit for my desire to build a stompa that more mirrors the physical aspects of an ork.

Ah well...

Having said that, with how Conquest breaks down (built mine so long ago I forgot the specifics), you can easily widen the shoulders and extend the waist area as both are separate pieces to make it the same size as a normal Stompa.

Just as a final nail in the coffin:

Looks about right for a mega Dread.... Nice...

I like the arms especialy.... The head less though.....

Maybe if I can find one "cheap" sometime.....

In addition to the size problem, the khador thing is more than the Stompa. I wouldn't bother.

No message from me other than I don't like the flowerpot aesthetic much. I want something more physically reminiscent of an ork, big across the shoulder and with big arms. I dislike the GW ork stompa's big skirt and openly detest it's weedy arms.
