I've always wanted to know why vamps and wolvies are sworn enemies. I think it goes along someway like this:

(begin dream sequence)

Once there was a vampire who was tending to his begonias in his back yard. He went inside to get a drink of blood juice for a minute and while he was away, a werewolf with a mental problem came wandering by as a wolf. He looked at the begonias and though, "Hey, this would be a great place to bury my bone!" so the werewolf dug a hole in the middle of the flowers, flattening most and began to bury his bone. Whilst doing this, the vampire came back outside and saw the wolf ruining his beloved begonias. He then there and then lay a curse on werewolves that vampires and werewolves would from there on be mortal enemies, always fighting a never ending war against each other till the end of time.

(end dream sequence)

I have an idea, what if the meeting did happen, but both parties are secretly plotting to kill the other and neither knows about the others imminant betrayal. It would fit and would also mean me not having to have wasted about an hour of my time

...Interesting idea...

I really think it's a matter of nature...both feed on humans...both are defending "Hunting grounds"...it's like two predator species fighting over the same heard of zebra...
Over hundreds of thousands of years...it's instict to go after each others throats...coupled with both species " Human" elements...Greed,the quest for power...x1000 all go into the mutual hatred the species has developed for each other..

It still doesn't get around the instictial urge for the seperate species to kill one another on sight....if a random vampire (you)...encountered a random Werewolf (Kais) in his cave...the following results would 99.9% be one of fangs ,claws and flying body parts...not one of hey let's sit and chit chat....(even if the two were conspiring against the other party)...

Don't get me wrong...I like the cloak and Dagger idea your trying to use...it just doesn't fit well with the species...it would sort of be like a tyranid sitting across the table from an ork and plotting against each other...

As you know there has been a spate of killings in this city. I assure you that these were not the work of the undead. The culprits were the Werewolves. They are the ones to blame for these deaths. we need to tell you about the truth. Vampires and humans can co-exist in harmony. werewolves cannot. They are clumsy adn don't care for the harm they cause, and don't try to co-exist. They cause destruction and harm in thier path. They carelessly create more of their kind which only causes more of the same problem. You have also had contact with a group of mecaenaires who call them hunters. They are ignorant zealots. They see something they dont like and try to destroy it without eve trying to understand it

I actually like what you've RPed here a lot...

Pinkerton (for the most part) has seen first hand what Wolves are capable of...and the fact a wolf killed his best friend might go a long way in swaying him...

Of course he did see what Pontius did to Rasputian....and of course being drop kicked by Oliver hasn't exactly sweetened Pinkerton on Vamps either....

A car being tossed like a child's toy by an enormous wolf...Pinkertons mouth fell open as he watched the footage.
Longinus followed the Detectives gaze and saw too what was occuring Downtown...the Vampire smilled slightly..." You see Detective...this is your city in the hands of those creatures.."
Pinketon dropped his head into his hands..would this madness never end...?

**Morathi's Darkest Sin**

Scarlett sat up in a blood sweat, her limbs ached and the air seemed thick with vitae, as she struggled to her feet she spat blood across the room and glared at the mirror noting blood dripping from her nose. She screamed out in anger, her piercing cry shattering the glass of the mirror before her as she clasped her head with her hands and collapsed down upon herself. Twitching for a second on the marble floor and rolling carefully onto her back, she slowly opened her eyes and stared up at the cold mirrored ceiling.

She felt her stomach convulse and sharply sat upright, coughing violently before expelling all the remaining blood from her stomach. As the last blood dripped from her lower lip she struggled back up, focused on the door, and burst threw into her appartment. The curtains where drawn, but she could see the night sky through the gaps and the artifiicial lights of the city. Cursing under her breath as she noticed the clock on the wall, she made her way to a large black doored fridge and yanked it open. Snatching out a blood pack she ripped into it and drank deep of the contents.

She hated cold blood, it didn't have the same taste, the same feel of fresh blood striaght from the vein, but under this circumstance she didn't have a much of option. Feeling the pain inside pass, she licked the pack dry then threw it into a bin before wandered over to the TV, flicking it on with the remote. The local news kicked into life and she noted the confused reports of the days activities, too many cops had been killed. Someone was doing their best to break the convenant that had protected the creatures of the night for so long, and to make things worse the blood curse that had struck her could mean only one thing.

Victoria was closing in once again.

Scarlett stared at the painting of a woman on the far wall, her beautiful auburn hair a stark contrast to the pale skin and white dress, She closed her eyes for a moment and the name Olivia crossed her mind. Then with a growl she strolled into her walk in closet and began to search the rack for something suitable. She was late already, her hair required work and she needed to get to the Aphasia as quickly as possible.

Andy pulled in front of Spider's Bar, a flickering neon light announced its name in the darkened sky. Andy pulled onto the curb near the bar's door and he pulled a single molotov from the crate. He should only need one, but he had to hit the bar and the store of alcohol in and near it. He cracked the door open and peeked inside, the glasses and bottles on the wall gave away the position of the bar and Andy closed the door. He looked at the brown bottle filled with gasoline and topped with a rag,a simple weapon that could cause great damage. He pulled out a cheap 99 cent lighter and lit the molotov.

He used his back to open the door and chucked the flaming rag and bottle at the wall holding the glasses. Screams followed the shattering of glass and the 'wumph' of the fire catching. Andy ran back to his car and jumped into the driver seat, he sped up as he buckled his seat belt. An explosion showered the street in front of the bar with shattered glass and the traffic behind him came to a halt as the drivers reacted to the explosion and the glass that littered the road.

"That went really well." Andy mused to himself as he glanced over at the rattling bottles in the crate, "Hmmm... I have some left. Waste not, want not."

Andy looked at the list with two scratched off locations and began to plug a third address into the GPS on the dashboard. "Just one last one for the night." Andy thought to himself, "Just one more and it should be even.".

Andy had fought in these kind of conditions before, large city, vamps and wolves in the same area, limited support, etc. He had won in those conditions but it was a tough balancing act; if they killed some wolves the vamps were stronger, if they killed some vamps the wolves were stronger all the while the hunters lost more and more. He had learned from that first mistake.

"Then I'll kill "Mr. Ten Pointer," Andy gripped the wheel and turned around a corner, "then its revenge for Kara."

As he continued the drive he noticed something and hairy near the road, Andy turned on his high beams for a better look. It was either a large dog or a wolf but it looked like it was being pulled back by something. The fur tone looked a lot like the wolf that had tagged Kara, Andy had to decide between attempting to keep a balance or seeking revenge, the bottle called to him once more and he found himself steering with his knees as he prepared to throw another cocktail. The window was down and he tossed the molotov as he sped past the alley he had seen the wolf in. The glass shattered on the corner, he had missed thanks to some bad timing.

"Motherf**ker!" Andy shouted as he took control with his hands again. He would have to wait for his revenge, right now he had to pay a visit to a house near the red-light district.

Vegas saw two persons jumping in an alley. "This wasn't going well. "Its happening" Colt said. Vegas stopped the car next to the raging fire. She pulled her weapons from the backseat. "Good luck kiddo." Colt said while crawling behind the wheel. Vegas looked as Colt drove past her following Andy. They were right, Andy's action had begun to attract attention. She grabbed her cellphone and called Danny. She gave him the message to get more hunters on Andy's trail, things were about to explode. She closed her cellular and pulled her sawed off tight and started walking into the dimly lit alley.

Hey, Andy didn't start the fire, its been burning since the world's been turning.

BIC:

Andy continued to drive down the road before noticing a car following him, the headlights prevented him from seeinginside the car.

"Probably some vamp." Andy thought as he began to take turns to lose the tail.

The car kept following him until he reached a T-intersection, Andy made a sharp turn to the right before following it up with a sharper turn to the left in order to make a u-turn. He aimed the front of the truck at the car and crashed into it. The low speed from the u-turn caused little damage to either driver, but the chase was now stopped and Andy got out with his weapon drawn. The door to the car opened up slowly and he saw a pair of hands come out above it a gruff voice following, "Damn it Andy!".

"Colt?" Andy lowered his weapon, "Why the hell were you following me?"

"To stop you from making a huge ass mistake, that's why." Colt replied angrily.

"I wasn't making any mistakes." Andy said defensively.

"You were getting attention," Colt lowered his hands, " attention is never a good thing."

"I was using molotov cocktails," Andy said as he patted the side of the truck, "it looks like some arsonist or gang decided to act out against something. Plus we have Pinkerton on our side, he has a list of property just like we do."

"Pinkerton is only one man in the force compared toall of the others who have no idea what the hell is going on." Colt approached Andy.

"Well I..." Andy looked at Colt and the car he had been driving, "where's Vegas?"

"She went into that alley you threw one of those bombs into." Colt was put off by the quick change of subject.

"There's two wolves in that alley," Andy blurted out, "you let her, a newly deputized hunter, go after two wolves?".

"Two of them?" Colt asked, worry creapt to his face.

"Yeah, why else do you think I tried to hit them?" Andy began to open the truck's door, "Get in, we have to go back before they do something to her.".

Colt nodded and ran to the passenger side of the truck, the smell of gas hit him like a brick as he opened the door. Colt took the crate holding the two remaining molotov's and was about to throw them out of the truck when Andy told him to keep one in the cup holder. The remaining molotov crashed harmlessly on the road as Andy put the truck into reverse. It pulled the car a bit before the two vehicles broke apart, the truck was missing a headlight and showed dents in the grill. The car's hood had folded up towards the windshield and would probably have engine damage.

"Why the hell were you torching Pontius's holdings?" Colt broke the silence.

"It's a system of balance," Andy started, trying to remember where he had turned, "we have to make sure both sides suffer at the same time or else we lose. Why did you let her go into an alley all on her own?"

"Thought she could handle it." Colt replied, "We thought you were just torching things for fun."

"Well," Andy said slowly, "I wasn't."

The two raced in the beaten truck towards the alley.

Danny will attempt to prevent Andy from burning down any more of Pontius properties...he'd most likely attempt to do so in a friendly manner so as to not "blow his cover"...so he'd most likely send some sort of "help" to coax Andy and the rest to return to the farm...

What two Wolves was Andy throwing the molotovs at?

Ryan and Holly?....if so...Holly hasn't transformed...she was still in human form...and IIRC they were both still in the streets...

They were both in the streets, but Holly was dragging Ryan. I guessed that she would try to get him out of sight so she would try to pull him into an alley.

Andy didn't see Holly, but knew that something was pulling Ryan back and guessed it was another wolf or else the two would be going at it in the alley.

Not exactly peaceful but more the "Jeez guys, its been millenia of fighting can't you just cool your jets man. It was fun at the start but now the novelty has worn off," kind of vampire. He enjoyed it while it was fun but it grew old and boring so he just kinda moved on. If there was a new blood feud between, say, ogres then He would be straight in there fighting "for lolz".

Atlas let out a loud sigh. The Vampire had walked straight into his cave, and thought that with some smart words he could "make friends" with him. No Vampire would ever do that. They could'nt. This troubled him greatly.

"Can't anyone f**king leave us alone?!" Rose shouted.

"It seems not."

Rose looked down, and sighed.

"I need to talk to Musatei," Atlas said.

For the first time ever, Atlas took out his phone and dialled the number which Musatei had given to him earlier.
Somebody picked it up, he assumed Musatei, and he spoke to her.

"Bad news. A Vamp."

The burning liquid had the power that Holly didn't. With a snarl, Ryan abated from straining, at least momentarily, and Holly, grasping the initiative, began to drag him forcefully into a side alley. In the dark confines, away from people, Holly felt Ryan was safe, at least until he calmed down. Letting go of him, she watched as he stood in front of him, chest heaving from the exertions, his entire body shuddering in time with his heart beat. He was different than his previous transformations. He was taller, by about two feet, making him tower above her, as if she were a mere child. His musculature had increased at a exponential rate; his body no longer as skinny or lean as before. Judging from body mass alone, he probably weighed similar to that of a prized pitbull. Ryan turned his head slowly, cocking his ear to the wind, listening to the sounds of the city, as if a stranger here, and taking things in for the first time. A clattering of a tin can down the alleyway caused them both to turn their heads in the direction. They weren't alone down here.

The smell of sweat and, unmistakably, perfume, drifted towards them, along with the scent of gunmetal, oil, and detergent. Ryans great pink tongue licked across his lips apprehensively, waiting for his meal to show herself. Holly turned back to the great wolf, and looked directly at him, causing Ryan to stop what he was doing, and return her gaze.

"C'mon. We have to get out of here, I'm sorry about what happened to your brother, but..."

In response, Ryans great muzzle pulled back into a snarl, bearing his fangs, and the great maw within. Turning his head to the sky, he let out a long, mournful howl, echoing across the city, and, into the outskirts. Holly did what felt natural upon hearing this, and arched her back, releasing her own melodic howl into the air, joining Ryan in a moment of pure emotion. At first the city was quiet, but one at a time, but more increasing every second, responding howls erupted from sewers, from rooftops, as the beasts of the night lended their notes to the cry. Dogs great and small, joined in, barking at the sky, and in the local zoo, a pack of timber wolves,previously asleep, awoke, and joined the melancholy.

From further down the alley, Vegas realised, looking at the size of Ryan, that she would most definitely need a bigger gun.
