Subject: Do Space Marines have "webbing"?

Hi, all.
I know there's a few pictures of Space Marines with knifes and grenades, etc., but I've only ever seen one picture (and I "think" it's fan art) showing a Space Marine with actual magazine pouches.
Is there anything fluffy, (and I mean Codex fluff, not that whole "everything is true, and false" fluff) that says how Space Marines carry ammunition?
All the miniatures have got the standard bolter with fixed magazine, and some of the new ones have a miniature actually reloading (I know, right?) but I can't see any way of carrying ammunition, or for that matter, any other type of military-based equipment. Though, I "think" there Veterans have pouches, but I may be wrong.
I've read in a BL novel that has Terminators carry spare mags in a compartment in their armour, but they cannot reach it, another person has to get their spare mags for 'em, which I thought was daft as that gives the Terminator about 6-10 pulls of the trigger before he's empty and has to go in all punchey. I don't care how Angel of Death you are, you're going to die very quickly that way if that's how Marines have to reload.
Do regular Marines carry their ammunition in compartments, or, in reality, would a Marine be webbed up and carrying kit just like a Guardsmen?

Most marine models have pouches on their belt (or separate bits that you can attach), i'd imagine that is where their reserve mags are stored

A lot of magazines and other equipment are "mag locked" onto their armour.
I keep coming across in the black library novels.

This. Why bother with pouches when you can stick stuff to your armour?

The boxes typically have mag pouches and other types of pouches, pistol holsters, and other minor gear. If you fully utilize them you can put quite a bit on your troopers.

Yep. I have a whole drawer full of grenades, pouches, clips, and other bits and bobs from my marines. Generally, I think they're cluttered enough as it is, visually speaking, so I don't included them.

That's actually a really cool idea. Just take the pouch and slap it on your armor wherever it seems convenient. Of course it runs into issues of every loose screw or bit of iron filings you get close to either sticking to yourself or (more likely of they're smart enough not to magnetize the whole suit of armor) your equipment pouches. That said, they could be electromagnets that get turned off when you don't need them. Electrically powered magnetic pouches just to store ammo is exactly bloody overcomplicated and grandiose enough for a Space Marine methodology. P.S. Now I have visions of magnetic marines getting a grenade slapped onto their back and them flailing around to get it off.

This gentleman's thread does an excellent job of showing how a fully loaded Marine might look like. I recommend giving it a going over.

Nice thread, cheers for the link.
As to maglocks, that's something that I've not thought of, and yes, it's over complicated and very '40K, so that's feasible.
The only issue I have, is that if you have a 'naked' bolter magazine just maglocked to a Space Marine's armour, it's very prone to damage. You only need a knock here or there, and your bolter cartridges get stripped out of the magazine lips, or the weight of the Space Marine crushes the magazine flat as he runs through a wall, or something.
