So what is your favorite Leman Russ Tank and why? Mine is the Exterminator because it can take on so many different roles on the table top. And I also like the look of it very much.

1st place: Las Plas Vanquisher. Looks awesome, does awesome, and is generally great, excelling at AT but also capable of putting wounds on MCs and MEQ.

2nd: Bolter-boat Exterminator. The AP4 dakka is amazing against Crons, IG, Tau and Eldar, with with Pask it destroys light tanks.

3rd: Naked Demolisher. Because nothing says 'deal with it now' like a S10 AP2 pie-plate on an AV14 chassis.

In the warp, searching for Marbo

I voted Executioner. I've destroyed so many marines/eldar with it(bare bones). About 50% of the time when I use it, whole squads disappear in one turn. Also, due to the tears my opponents cry when they first hear that it doesn't Get Hot!

I for one have several 'favorite' Leman Russ chassis.

For starters, most of mine are all run without any sponsons. Just my preference there.

For general purpose, I find a bare-bones standard pattern Leman Russ is hard to beat. Put a hull mounted Heavy Flamer on it and you can deal with most anything you need to deal with, coupled with *amazing* range on the Battlecannon.

Secondly, for anti-vehicle combat, I tend to run a Leman Russ Vanquisher, again, without sponsons. Once again, I run the heavy flamer in the hull to give it something to deal with infantry that get close. Run an Prescience throwing inquisitor near it for better odds of hitting with the Vanquisher round.

Lastly, I waffle back and forth between the Punisher, and Executioner pattern Leman Russes. They're both fantastic for what they do, but their shorter range (Only 36" for either weapon) leaves it without a target at times. Of the two, I like the Punisher most at present with the option to reroll failed to-hit from the nearby inquisitor and Prescience. This is one of the few times I will not run a Heavy Flamer and consider sponsons, because if you need a one-stop shop for all things Dakka, the Punisher, with Hull Mounted Heavy Bolters, Sponson Heavy Bolters, and a pintle mounted heavy stubber kicks out 32 shots at 36", all but three of which are ST:5. That's a lot of hurt to put on a target at once. Sadly, that tank is well over 200 points, so I rarely run most of the time.

Those are mine. Thanks for reading and I'll catch you guys on the flipside.

That would be a mars pattern vanquisher. I voted vanquisher because of that beauty.

A distant second would be the... leman russ executioner. When you absolutely, positively got to kill ever motherfether in the squad, accept no substitutes.

^^this, I'm just starting an armored battle group and was thinking about that combo last night at work.

my number two would be eradicator, shoot and deny 4+ armor and cover and still get to fire the hull gun at BS.

but then there is the plasmacutioner for the lulz

This, and the barebones Leman Russ Executioner. Both look sweet and both are at the top of the rankings when it comes to effectiveness.

Punisher hands down because the best look on someone's face is when they see the pile of dice you use for each Punisher at a a time. I'm not a Guard player but my mate is and I still love the look on his opponent's face whenever he has his Punisher on the tabletop.

After that I'd have to agree with the barebones Leman Russ. I love the classic tank look.

LRBT and executioner are tied in my view.

My LRBTs are bog standard as well most of the time. Sometimes I put lascannons instead of hbolters though.

Seriously though the Punisher is pretty cool looking. I just love the amount of dakka.
