I actually made these guys last year, but recently repainted them after playing with some new techniques. I've only done 3 of the original 5, but I took them all the way and finished the bases to make sure I'd be happy with the final look. Now I can proceed with more spawn and the larger army.

All 3 are converted from a huge pool of bits, green stuff, white glue, and super glue. Sorry they're so close together, my backdrop is only 8" across.

I was inspired by the remake of "the thing" and wanted to make some really menacing spawn that are each unique and asymmetrical with multiple faces emerging from the warping flesh. I wanted the mutations to look chaotic yet believable. And I wanted them to look fast either by running, springing, slithering, or skuttling.

Let me know what you think!

Loving them. Nice use of bits!

I can not stand the GW Spawn!

Guilliman and the Ultramarines are like Manchester United, everyone hates them because they are so awesome!

Great conversions, my favourite is the one with the human face at the top half that then splits into the huge maw on the bottom half. Excellent.

Grotesque... and perfect that way!

Wow, these are some incredible conversions! I love how grotesque they are, there is not a single miniature in the CSM range that would be as horrorful as these guys are!

Especially love the one with open jaw and snake (ravener?) body. Tzeentch (and John Carpenter) approves!

Edit: One question - are these bases 28mm or 40mm?
