So I am looking at the Flamestorm Cannon sprue, but here's a question:

What are the two small pieces that arent stuck to the sprue on the bottom right of the first pic and the bottom left of the second pic supposed to be? Are they needed in mounting the Flamestorm Cannons or are they part of the Hurricane Bolters?

In particular does anyone know what these are

Well, in reference to the last picture the one on the right is definitely a Storm Bolter.

I haven't put together a Flamestorm yet (have the instructions for basic land raider only), so I can't really help there, sorry.

I figured out those other bits still in question actually belong to the Hurricane Bolters.

See I still have an old Land Raider kit sitting on my shelf from god knows how long ago (never got around to painting it). It was the kit where you got Land Raider bits and Land Raider Crusader bits (not the other way round where today you get LRC and LRR bits in the kit and have to buy a Phobos Land Raider separately)

So anyways, my Hurricane Bolter bits are metal, and I checked and for some strange reason those bits in the picture arent in my box.

Thats why I got confused and thought they belong to the Flamestorm Cannon, but it turns out they dont.

The Hurricans Bolters were redone in plastic in 2009 I believe, and when the LRC kit was redone, it got some extra bits like Purity seals, and as part of the plastic Hurricane Bolter (all 3 bolters fused now into a single plastic chunk instead of separate metal bits) those extra weird plastic thingies also belong to the kit.

I just dont know where they are supposed to be mounted lol, since in my old Hurricane Bolter instruction manual they arent mentioned.

I think they are part of the Bolters.
You put the two halves of the Flamestorm together, add the connecting piece to the tanks and you're done. The square on the outside of the Flamestorm is for adding the armor pate.

In the first two pictures, the parts that are loose, are for the hurricane bolters, the flat rectangle piece goes on the back of the hurricane bolters once the two halves are glued together.

I don't have my model here with me, away from home at the moment, but I'm fairly certain they are cosmetic, don't actually do anything.

The other piece goes on the other side of the hurricane bolters, its the targeter piece.

Everything else in your two top pictures are the flamestorm cannon parts, the two halves of the cannon, the connection piece and the fuel tanks.

As for your bottom picture, the upper right is the two halves of the storm bolter, it can be attached to the small turret piece above the storm bolter. Its the one that is on the left, or it can go on the small triangle piece next to the small turret, and then attached to the flat disk in the same section of the sprue.

Hopefully you will figure out what I'm talking about, since I don't know what the numbers are on that sprue that correspond to the pieces I'm talking about.
