Whoa... The 9th Circuit Court (one of the most liberal courts in the US) got the blogger 1st Amendment case right and now this: Court strikes California law limiting concealed weapons Has the Apocalypse started yet?

To clarify... CA had required handgun applicants to show "good cause" for needing CCW. 9th Cir. strikes that requirement.
It's a split decision (2-1), so it's likely it'll reach the SC.

State has put forth notice it is being appealed (Thats probably not the right word) to the full appellate court. We'll see what the full 9th says. I have a doubt.

I'm starting to feel bad for Piers Morgan. I don't think he has any idea how out of touch he is with a large segment of the American population.
I didn't really get the uproar about the giraffe thing either. Except for a few subspecies, they aren't even endangered, and sometimes you have to cull the herd. They had valid reasons for doing it. If someone had done the same thing with a cow, nobody would care, but because giraffes are "exotic" in the US and Europe, people lose their minds over it.

He knows, and its why he does it. There's ratings in being hated... He recently came to Australia to watch the cricket, in which his team England was getting pounded, and he started making stupid comments on Twitter about how the players were afraid and he could do a better job. At which point a former Australian player and media darling gave a completely unprepared out of the blue challenge to Morgan to face his bowling. Luckily the heavily planned lunchtime cricket schedule had a gap for such a media event in just a few days time... so Piers turned up, got humiliated and seriously hurt by a guy bowling very quickly straight at his body, and everyone at home got to laugh at the idiot with the big mouth. Just ignore Morgan. He's a loudmouth for money.

Not over here, there aren't. At least not for him. His ratings are very, very low. I think he was averaging like 250K viewers at the end of December. His 9PM show routinely gets beat by quite a bit...by shows on Fox at 3AM.

Yeah, his ratings were lower then Anderson Coopers 360 rerun... HLN almost beats him in the same time slot. In his defense though, he is CNN's third best rated time slot (After Anderson Cooper and rerun). But that just goes to show how sad that is for CNN...
For his time slot, FOX quadruples viewers, MSNBC Triples, CNBC doubles, and HLN almost matches.
