pretty interesting idea. I wonder how much impact it has on time-to-first-shot and how intuitive it is for the shooter to adjust their aim properly so as to get another shot off. I noticed they didn't mention how long it took to line up a shot...

Oh, one of my classmates mentioned this last year. I think he might have interned at the company that made it...I know he was doing some really cool ballistics stuff for a couple summers and knew a ton about that particular piece of equipment.

Seems to be a very nice item all things considered. I'm rather a fan. Although the whole "not allowed to fire unless shot is lined up" thing could be a problem if there's no override... I agree with the person above me.

I also think its a good idea as it brings the human element out of "how do I hit that target" and more into "should I hit that target". If the rifleman needs to spend less time judging windage and bullet drop they might nitice that they are actually looking at the wrong target altogether. I was always enamoured of the ultra-tech idea of neural laces, I.e. computers meshed in with your brain, that take care of all the mechanics of combat, leaving the rational part of the brain to merely select targets.

Don't, or I'll point out that the Navy SEAL specialist marksmans' guide is pretty much word for word the British Infantryman's standard shooting guide.
