So, I'm thinking about buying some land raiders as rides for my DW, but am puzzling over how to paint them. Should i do the traditional dark-green DA colours or the bone white of the DW. Your opinions are v welcome

If you choose them as dedicated transports, definately DW colours. Remember the DW Vehicle upgrade.
I'd go for it like they did in the codex: Redeemer/Crusader Pattern in DW, the standard LR in DA Green.

Which would you prefer to paint? A landraider permanantly part of the 1st company transport pool would be in white, but its easy to see a situation when DW troops are using a standard transport pool LR for a specific engagement.

Yeah...I'd agree with Flinty. If you're doing full first company, do them bone/white. If you're using them with greenwing as well go for green. Unless of course you have a personal preference...then follow that!

Go pre deathwing and make them all black

Just teasing, I would go with the bone white, with dark green used to break up the wall of colour, maybe look at FW for ideas, pretty sure they did some DW landraiders in IA2.

The bone white is also easier to freehand onto, as the large flat spaces of a Land Raider allow lots of room for this.
