Not REALLY background but a funny video series I found on YouTube of the Emperor reacting to the things that have happened in the last 10,000 years.

You do know the Emperor communicates with people now and then, right?

Pretty safe to say he's aware of what's going on in the Imperium.

In "Inquisition War", the God-Emperor speaks directly to Inquisitor Jaq Draco, stopping time itself so that Draco may approach the Golden Throne without the Custodes getting involved.

I'm tired of the "only if the emperor knew" the guy had prophetic powers, he had to know what was going to happen.

I wasn't aware of the Emperor actively communicating with anyone save though the Tarot or the occasionally psyker having a vision. And I'll have to look into the trilogy of novels now, I've heard about them but never read them.

Either way, perhaps I put this in the wrong forum, I shared this more for entertainment purposes then to have a discussion on fluff. I there a sub-forum better suited for YouTube shenanigans?

we do know she entered the throne room and then suddenly killed him. The Emperor telling her "dude this guy sucks!" is a reasonable conclusion. Although just like every other possiavble aspect of the emperor's "divine intervention" it's often left a mystery

It could as easily have been her walking in, seeing the corpse of the guy on the chair, "writhing invisibly with the power of the Warp", and having the epiphany that here was this guy who had tried to do right by humanity, ended up like this, and then there was some punk down the hall making a mockery of that sacrifice by having his sex-slave-nuns and running the place like a petty tyrant.

So she goes and cuts his head off, because feth that guy.

It wouldn't help much. He's in stasis outside of our timestream, without the Warp helping him dick with physics a text-to-speech device wouldn't help and with the Warp helping him dick with physics the text-to-speech device becomes unnecessary.

Anyone else just realise that the emperor is actually with us in Stephen Hawkins. He preaches the imperial truth. Has a more mobile throne. Speaks through a speak and spell. Guys if we all contacted him we could all become Astartes. Woop Woop!

The Emperor is not in stasis. He is merely a half (mostly) dead immortal sitting on a chair.

The throne is described as incorporating massive stasis field generators (which are one of the main failing components) so it's safe to say the physical body of the emperor is in stasis

Not really, his body has decayed. That doesn't happen in stasis.

Although this is possible, it'd be one hell of a batman gambit by the custodies if that was the case. Basically the custodies would have to be banking on her coming to this epiphany just by seeing a dead corpse (though if they had nothing else to do about the situation, I suppose they could have done it as a "We have nothing to lose by showing her this corpse so we might as well try it" thing)

Wasn't this event what made her hair turn white? So something special there happened if that's true. Granted, I got that from TVTropes so it's very very suspect.

Now, I'm not saying the Emperor did not tell his Custodes "Hey, go down the hall, bring that Alicia girl in here, I want her to see something", and then just sat there are still and silent and divine while she was there, but it might have gone that way. Then again, they're the Custodes. They've spent their entire lives in the presence of the God-Emperor and the Golden Throne. They probably know how people react in its/his presence.

If it was in stasis then he would still have flesh, skin, eyes and look the same as he did when they first brought him down from the vengeful spirit 10k years ago.

However he's a corpse/skeleton. So there is no stasis.

Plus if he was in stasis he wouldn't be able to use his psychic powers or power the astronomicon.

Or he would use them from the Warp, because he's the fething God-Emperor, your stasis technologies mean nothing to him.

Technically it's his technology. He designed the alterations to the throne which he gave to Rogal Dorn. If he could have had his body in stasis and kept it in a far better broken state than a corpse he would have. But clearly he knew that stasis would have stopped him doing what he needed as is evident by the decay of his physical form.

It's not his technology, he didn't build it. They dug it up out of the sands of Turkey somewhere, or perhaps it was Africa... but, at any rate, whatever the Golden Throne is, it wasn't built by the Emperor's hand, and dates back to the Dark Age of Technology, or perhaps even before then.

Though I think you make a valid point with the batman gambit thing, it's not just any corpse- it's the corpse of Dominica's god.

Nah. As far as I'm aware, that doesn't show up in any sources, studio or third-party. Seems to just be fanon. I've seen similar stuff on /tg/ before, some Troper probably got it from there or somewhere else, thinking it was legit.

There is no evidence anywhere that Alicia had white hair.

In fact, she is usually depicted as having black hair.

For some reason, when Blanche drew the cover for Codex: Sisters of Battle, featuring an aged veteran Sororitas with hair turning from blonde to the white of age, this fixed in peoples' minds that Sororitas have white hair.

Every other Battle Sister in the codex, with the exception of the Canoness, including on that picture had black or brown hair, except for the occasional auburn.

Then Daemonifuge came out, with its white-haired special snowflake protagonist, Ephrael Stern. Even then, most Sisters who appeared had dark hair. However, the cover art of Ephrael seems to have become the default image people think of when they think 'Battle Sister'.

Including the studio painting team of more recent years.

There is no in-universe fluff for Sisters having white hair, because in-universe, Sisters don't all have white hair. They have natural hair colours.

While he's on the Golden Throne his mind is in a pretty shattered and messed up state. He knows what's going on, but I doubt if he's flipping out about the modern Imperium. He's even less human and more difficult to relate with then when he was off the throne.
