As the title says, would you let me field this instead of the Forge World one?

Scale pic:

FW one:

At £20 for 5 as opposed to £29 for just one - ok I've got to get crew but it's got to be cheaper.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

Why not? It's hard to be mistaken for anything else.

It is a tad smaller but in friendly matches that should be no problem.

In most official tournaments you will fail on limits/bans on third-party parts (or Forgeworld stuff) anyway, so the anal tournament players won't even get a chance to complain about size difference.

Currently playing: Infinity, SW Legion

The Rapier carries a carefully focussed laser destroyer array, while the alternative carries a minigun. If you could sort our a more laser-like weapon it would be better.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

If we made all decisions on price, I'd take a Tonka truck for my Orc Trukks everytime, OR just use paper chits. I don't because I don't want my army to look like crap and I have respect for my opponents.

To the OP: For the model in question, I'd be OK with it. Its about the same size and we're clear what it represents.

As a Rapier Laser Destroyer no.
As a Heavy Bolter Rapier yes.

But only if you put it on a base matching the footprint of the Rapier as it looks to be at least 25% smaller.

As above. Thats a slug thrower, so you should use it to represent a slug thrower type weapon - not a laser battery

Much smaller than that. It looks about 1/3 the size of the Rapier. Half the footprint, and much shorter to boot. I would have no problems playing against it, but it is a lot smaller. And I put my Rapiers and Thunderfire cannons on 50x75 mm fantasy bases.

This. I use a counts as thunderfire, so I mounted it on a 60 mm round base. That way it fits in nicely, and everyone knows how big it's supposed to be, even though its a different size.

Cool thanks guys for all the comments. I do have the original rapier & that's tiny too - I can't see anyone having problems with that (unless they're really mean). I'll put them on 50mm bases. This will make them taller too. Do reckon that size would do??
