Yeah,

Being naughty. the plan is to Replicate my wrecks for sale.
These are some of the most complicated things I've ever tried to cast.

At this point I'm really worried that I might have destroyed my toys!?
and that the cast would fail...

I cut some vents in the mold.
Also it should be observed that I messed my toys up real good!

I only had one hour before work so only enough time to do one test cast.

For this cast I just held the mold together with an elasticband..
The next cast should be better as I'll make a casting frame for the mold which should mean less flash!

The casts are actually pretty good for a first try.
heres how the cleaned up.
about 1 hour of deflash/mold lining. I Super glued the ties and the back of the Ywing.

The problem ships in the casts are the x-wings, The engines and nose cone are all missing. They need air vents to let the air bubbles out.

still for wrecks I think very useable. I was considering doing an asteroid field based on your idea using "chunks" of a YT1300. I figured that I could easily instant mold different parts of it and then there would be reason to field the cargo pods as objectives of a destroyed rebel/merchant ship.

I will still keep an eye on this thread though
