First of all I love the seer council, that said the major problems with this list are:

1) no hit and run
2) no AA
3) no stealth
4) no +1 to go first
5) your troops are fast but cannot support the rest of your army, as well as only having 3 wounds.

So as you can tell those are some big issues, but the pros this list has are:

1) 5 troops that if lucky can be reserved till turn 4
2) even without hit and run should be able to kill units in a multi charge (maybe?)
3) has a lot of fast CC units, as well as good psychic support.

I think you would benefit a lot from some DE allies for the cost of 1 WK.

Haha I forgot to write down that the list also includes the baron and 5 kabalite warriors already, Hit & Run is just so effective!

Well yes, this is definitely a Seer Council list - prepare for the inevitable nerd-rage that will follow.

I've run a council list recently, and did well with only 6 warlocks. Cutting a couple can get you a Venom, with those grisly trophies. Also makes the Kabalites slightly more survivable.

Both runes are probably not needed on both seers. I mean, theres no obvious other way to spend 10 points, but yeah. You know that fortune gives a re-roll to deny, right? That makes them slightly less important.

Other than that, your list doesn't present threats across the board. It seems a lil hamstrung by the council being the sole focus of the army. In those games where you don't roll fortune, you'll probably lose, simply because it's not rounded enough.

At 1,850 points, my list is as follows;

Council w/ 6 Warlocks, 2 Seers, 1x Runes of Witnessing, 4 Spears, Baron
5 Warriors in a Venom
2x3 Jetbikes w/ Cannons
2x Wraithknights
2x5 Avengers in Serpents w/ SL, SC, Holofield.

It's not so hamstrung by the council being the centre focus. When I don't roll fortune, or it doesn't go off, I can still cause some damage and have won against good armies without it. Just a thought

So yeah, with the baron being there makes my post a little redundant.

What belly says holds some truth, though the bigger the council the more powers that you want you will probably get (like more LD debuffs). And I would drop the spears and 1 warlock for a venom with grisly/extra cannon/nightfields.

In his list the venom about guarantees first blood for his opponent

It is such an obvious target and so fragile

It is, until you take into account night fight, deploying outside range, reserving it, or simply hiding it behind terrain.

Thank you belly for explaining that if you deploy with half a brain it becomes harder to kill venoms (I'm thankful I need not explain).
