I'm going to go hang up my brushes now. Palette choices, technique, blending, all of this is superb.

I'm curious as to what your timeframe is like for completing a standard figure, like a cultist or chosen, to this standard?

That's a very vibrant, beautiful paintjob!

However, a question arises - why there is no closeup of the flamer Cultist?

NOOO!!!! I beg you please no!

I am just getting to the point where I am pleased with my own painting of my Dark Angels forces from DV. To see your exquisite rendition of the Dark Angels will shatter my blissful ignorance and show me how much skill I truly lack.

Seriously though, outstanding showcase. I do look forward to more!

Damn son, these are lovely. The Lord is an amazing centerpiece for the army as well. The cultists have too clean weapons for my taste, but they look excellent as well!

Thanks to everybody!

To Nvision>
Common Cultist takes about 5-6 hours:
1 hour for assembling and basing, 30 min for airbrushing primers,
3.5 - 4.5 hours for the rest.

Chosen is about 8-9 hours in total :
1- 1.5 hour for assembling and basing
30 min for priming
3-3.5 hours to strenghten the contrast on armor
About 30 min to glaze the ochre colour above armor
about 1 hour to the red freehands
About 1 hour for the other little details
30 min to paint the base

Your stuff i always so amazing. It makes me wonder why i bother painting sometimes. Very impressive, and very humbling. I really like the color scheme a lot and the markings are a nice touch. Great stuff.

Most commission painters I know (myself included) won''t work for less than $15 an hour. If that's what the OP is charging*, then a single Cultist is $75, and a single Chosen is $135. To get all of the Chosen and Cultists painted up, that's about $2175. And that's not counting the Helbrute or the HQ. IMO, that's pretty freaking cheap.

~Tim?

*considering his/her skill, $15 an hour is waaaay low.

Thanks for the rough outlining. I would love to get some infinity done to a standard like this, so I can't help but be curious :3

Holy crap, Infinity models painted up to the same standard as those Cultists would be glorious.

First post!

You're an amazing artist We7. These are incredible and if I had the money I would submit a comission painting to be done by you, but sadly I don't and by the looks of it, you're in Russia.

I'd like to see some more models as you continue to expand your folio.

Kudos!

Absolutely stunning paint job!

Incidentally, am I the only one who thinks these minis are incredibly intimidating to paint? I'm still too scared to even try the Chosen. I have no idea how to do them justice. I think they're probably a bit much for a starter set, as amazing as the minis are they're scary for new painters!
