Yeah, that's too funny.

Because of course there is absolutely no possibility that those pipes (is it even confirmed that they are a release?) could be used with any other piece of terrain or battlefield set up!!

And if they're as limited as the generator the chances of them meeting up are very slim!

Another disappointing release from GW. They really established this hit and miss strategy...

Disappoint release based on one blurry e-bay picture? Gah. For all you know the pipes come with free puppies and are $5 a length. Give it a minute, geeze.

Unlikely to contain either puppies or a $5 per length price, though.

Very true. Still don't know yet though.

But this is GW doing Something (or nothing)!

CLEARLY it is bad! Because it is GW doing (or not doing) something!

It would surprise me if these come out for release. It looks like they would be hard to mount to any of your buildings that aren't the shield generator. And if you do mount them it would make the building unwieldy to store. I think this is just something cool they made for the picture.

Wasnt impressed by the VSG and from the admittedly blurry pic arent very impressed with these either.
Hint GW: People will buy Xenos themed terrain too, lay off the Imperium-centric production line.....

This looks better than the other, to me... just the pipe parts themselves are nice, although you could probably use household items instead with some converting (although they'd be heavier).

Hmm, kinda reminds me of the plumbing in my bathroom...

I'm sure I could make that for less than €5 by buying some pvc piping. Heck, they probably have some scrap parts I could have for free.

That's just the picture on the back of the VSG box, Not a new set itself.

it's the quiet ones you have to look out for. Their the ones that change the world, the loud ones just take the credit for it.

While Im not interrested in the fuel pipes, Its actually huge news that GW show new/unreleased products this openly.
It even make me doubt its actually a product they will sell.

Well this is rather curious. I'm truly skeptical about them ever releasing these, however, unless they re-release the Void Shield Generator as a non-limited item. I mean, what can we really do with a set of plastic pipes on their own? Sure, we can make terrain, but we can also do that with other stuff.

I would be very surprised to see them selling those. they are basically just the pipes from the manufactorum kit

I thought that as well, but looking closely at that picture (it's on the back of the Void Shield Generator box), they're not just the pipes from the Manafactorum kit. There's more going on with them.

Is it just me, or do pipes seem like a waste of terrain-making-capacity for GW? They're pretty easy to make and you can get almost-as-good results by spending a few bucks at the local DIY store's plumbing section and maybe some cale pieces ike ladders, control panels, etc.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.

Pipes look pretty sweet, gonna direct order 50 the second they hit the site and hock them on ebay to the same yahoos who bought the void shield things I resold.

I build scratch terrain and I quite like old copper and iron pipes. It adds a level or realism that can't me matched with my crappy painting skills.

I'm in agreement with you. The workshop ones seem incredibly overwrought. For my taste, at least.

I guess that's just it - I've been here since the start, when that level of silliness wasn't part of everything.

...and really, this level of overwrought is a relatively recent development.

Sounds like it's much simpler and cheaper to buy something like the pipelines from Armorcast.

The Armorcast sets are pretty kick-arse, actually. I might end up grabbing one if I can find someone who stocks them (20 day+ cast on demand turnaround time is too much for me).
