Re-paint on the ships came out great, and you already have a head start on the how-to's for those turbolasers, so, what's stopping you?

Well, I'm using all my bits on the commission ones storage, mostly, will be the issue. Hence modular experiements.

Oh, it's evil. But the food is good

Quick update - repair/repaints on the trees are ongoing

Don't mind the owl, nothing sinister there (could do with some more of them, actually, think from the old wood elf sprues - anyone?)

And finished the first sewer grate:

That work for folk?

Cheers,

You're too kind mate. It's not much, but it's something. I do have a plan for the next base that involves a landing strip etc.

Metal loft bed for the elder thing. Kids are growing that fast... I'm not sure about the trench, I need to make sure it is easily to store.

Fab! That would be ace. I really want scattered owls across the various terrain for Gotham. The next part, I think, is some scaffolding and a sign declaring Another Exciting Development from LexCorp coming soon! I reckon Lex would be delighted to stomp over Gotham history.

Well, hopefully they stay sexy when they've turned into Cosplaying, Lollipop chainsaw Harley Quinn fangirls! In my head that sentence makes sense...

Quick test spray for the trench run. Eats paint like nobody's business. Giving this as a free sample to the turbolaser guy

And I did the second Ammo Dump, quite happy with this now - I think it's clear what it is and different enough from the Loot one (which now has a wee roll of $$$)

Board games tomorrow! My very good friend StoneyBoy has quit managing our FLGS to train as a grief/cancer counselor, very noble. I suspect Talisman and King of Tokyo await...

hmmmm.... well... the trench run might get a wee bit complicated due to the height of the "walls" currently...and i am sure it needs plating for texturizing as the mere cardboard is a bit too rocky looking on that scale...

also.... did a head dive into the bitz box...you´ll love it to pieces what´s heading your wayy... i dunno if you have much IG stuff... i put some stuff by that i think will help your loot and amo issues... (after zooming in on the pic...yeah... that stuff....)

Mostly, on my phone.

They are from the Mantic deadzone scenic accessories sprue. I cut the bottom couple of cms off - blocky, sci-fi, ideal for mounting turbolasers on - and put them on some Fenris Games bike bases I had lying about, added a couple of extra bits (rabbit, more shell cases), et voila! Luckily I think I have the bits to make one more. You need three in game, though you can buy two extra. However, for 2 player, you of course need 6 and I appreciate I should have 3 more sewer hatches too but not sure I can be arsed.

Gotham graveyards looks very promising. Treat it like Pokemon. Play all the factions.

And a bit late, but I've been told Ikea is the Swedish word for crap. Still, they make a nice enough display case, the Detolf. Also I hear the Klingsbo is a decent buy. At least in the US. No idea about UK prices.

Speaking as someone getting into the game myself, that's a very real danger! The good news is that it you pick one of the Bad Guy factions, there's a lot of overlap. For example, things like the Blackgate Prisoners can be used by Joker, Two-face, Bane, League, Penguin, Black Mask, Organised Crime and more, so add any crew starter to a pack of them and you've already got a chunky list, and can expand in plenty of different directions.

Thanks mate. Yes, I am reminded of the Simpsons - "Enjoy your affordable Swedish crap!" It is not bad price wise here, but you need to be careful what you buy. We've just recovered our ikea dining room chairs for like the 4th time, they're doing well for 12 years.

Thick. Definitely thick. I think Watchmen might be the "good" crew for me; bad guys, I'm still thinking court.

Cheers There are now 2 more. Egad, I hate brass etch.

Meantime, the mad project: in my head, the idea of cosplayers as Harley Quinn wannabes who (as cosplayers are want to do) have reinterpreted her as some kind of Lollipop chainsaw mashup - yes, in my head , that makes sense. So we end up with this:

From this:

Little changes. I hate working with resin almost as much brass! Especially such tiny, fine, beautiful minis. But we have lollipop, a BANG! gun, and a Pop! gun - all very fitting. The chainswords will all get love hearts and Harlequin diamonds, hair will be 2 colour, all in black and red I suspect. Thoughts? Better pics over next couple of days.

Cheers,
graven.

Mostly, on my phone.

So have begun testing my colour scheme for the walls for my ruined sections of old Gotham, starting with the crumbling churchyard.
Interior test

Needs more corrosion around the grate, streaking, mould on plasterwork etc.

Needs more weathering on bulletholes and some graffiti.

But, in principle, I quite like this. The red clay soil I think adds a nice, bloody contrast, and although it too needs to be darker it feels in keeping, I think.
Thoughts, suggestions, etc?

In other news, I've managed to devise decent storage for my X-wing stuff, and customer was very happy with his laser goodies. He's considering the trench suggestion, so we shall see where that goes.

Played A Touch of Evil last night, excellent hammer horror board game from flying frog, rather Arkham Horror but less lovecraftian. A huge selling point is that you can play against the other worthy investigators or in collaboration - we played a 6 player collaborative against the Spectral Horseman (most powerful in game, though they all are weighted by number of players and individual vs collaborative play), narrowly winning with the loss of only one town elder whose heaving bosom we gamely sacrificed. Excellent stuff.
Trotting on with Gotham scenics for now,
Gracias,
Graven

Cheers!
The basic stone is:
Prime grey
Thin layer of gw khaki
Thin layer of vj cobra leather on the Bricks / ivory on plasterwork
Sepia wash applied in vertical streaks
Earthshade wash applied and allowed to pool
Nuln oil in occasional streaks and blobs at whim.
Dry-brush gw khaki again
Sounds more time consuming than it is.
Hope that's handy.

Thanks man. Living in Glasgow, there's a lot of sandstone about (eg my house), and a lot of neo-Gothic architecture, so I want to reflect that. As for the sisters, I'm really wary of painting figures again after all the problems with my hand. I could see my figure painting deteriorate considerably over 2013-14 and I'm really fond of these models so I want to be able to do them justice.

Knightley wrote:Sick looking stone works, I could see quite an awesome looking table with that scenery all over it!

Thanks mate, much appreciated. Dr H is doing me the centrepiece, the ruined Belltower. I'm also thinking that the doorpiece with eagle from the Shrine of the Aquilla would make a great gothic/deco building from Gotham. I may have also just inadvertently acquired a Poison Ivy Crew...

Not an unreasonable assessment - I'm just thinking in terms of church architecture, and brick just didn't feel right, nor did grey stone.
