I think there's certainly potential. When I get a bit of time over the next couple of days I'm going to dig through bits boxes and see what stuff I can generally Gotham-ize.
Anyway, last of my X-Wing ships for now:
Now that's a hunk of junk Initial colours and oil staining laid on.

Knightley wrote:The Falcon looks awesome man, loving the engine glow!
Thanks mate. Glow is good!
Onto next project.
As mentioned, I *think* I have some Batman minis coming my way; so, I want to have somewhere for them to play. I've started a little modular Gotham Graveyard, based on the contents of my bits box:
You have 4 kinds of objective token in the game: Loot, Riddle, Titan (Bane-fuel) and Ammo; I want mine to be in-keeping with this theme. The tombstones are the Riddle objectives (who's grave is this?!), the pack&shovel/shovel&treasure are loot, and the hastily-buried barrels of toxic waste are titan. Not quite sure how to do ammo, possibly grenades stashed under a rock or something. Obviously, I'm recycling bits, and much gs work still to come.
Oh, and lampposts and sewer hatches (need 3 of each of them - 1 test deadzone lamp built!).
Cheers, and any input and advice gratefully received as always,

Joker falls to his death escaping from the bat. In the old, old computer game you had to climb the tower whilst joker dropped bells on you. Ah, childhood memories I'm also thinking a shrine of the aquilla will make a good gotham architecture.

Indeed, when we were young I do love that movie, first one I ever lied about my age to get into I've been scratching my head about how to do some decent manhole covers for Gotham. Nothing's really been working for me, but then I came up with this little gs/tool experiment: It's on a standard small base just now, was going to trim, remove carefully and mount on a small coin (10p, probably), then add brass etch letters reading GOTHAM along the top and DWS (Dept of Water and Sewage) along the bottom. Thoughts? Also, the guy who bought my Asteroid base asked me to knock out some turbolaser turrets for him - crucially, in a way that was relatively easy to replicate. After a bit of headscratching, I decide to use some bits from the Mantic Deadzone accessory sprue: Which turned into this... Then this... And finally these: A quick, rough bit of commission building work. Suits me C&C, as ever appreciated, graven

Nice work on the lasers.
Good idea for the manhole texture, and on that note, that ^ is what I've been looking at for the manhole cover I may be making. How, I don't know yet, but that's the only "Gotham" one I've found so far.

Cheers! Good point about holes. I'm tempted to leave it on the small base tbh, it works pretty will. Amazing pic, most useful.

Thanks buddy. Just coming up with a range of options. I wondered about the tank turret insert, possibly the chaos one. Has interesting shapes and textures. However, I was also just playing with ideas for versions of treadplate etc. I also wondered about something to press mold, but I'm not sure if it's not just worth making the 3.

On we go. Still no idea what faction to play in Gotham so going to continue building random terrain.
So now we have lampposts, with hopefully some interesting base details to catch the light.
And an ammo dump:
Much happier with this as a cache. I might do another that's similar to my loot sack, but don't want it to be too similar. Realistically, I need 2 of each objective for 2 players. Hmm. I did 3 gravestones so I could prop a pack up against one, with grenades etc tumbling forth. Yay / nay?
Also pondering something along these lines:
What?
I have been to ikea 5 times in the last 3 days. It's a special kind of hell, although the boys do now have a decent bedroom for growing lads. Also, there was thankyou beer and pizza from wife, so bonus there at least.
