Like the title says, I just picked up the Warhammer 40,000: Storm of Vengeance which I hadn't heard about until yesterday. It's a simple lane based strategy game for $9.99 and so far I'm having a fun time with it. The game seems to be generating a ton of hate on the Steam forums, but that is pretty typical and I don't normally pay much attention to all the negative posts that pervade those forums. For under ten bucks I wasn't expecting Dawn of War III or anything epic in scope.

At any rate, it is a pretty fun game and IMO worth the asking price. Take a look . . .

Heh, yeah I don't know. It doesn't seem to have many fans, but so far I think it's a hoot. A nice diversion with a 40Kish look and feel....but then I liked/like Space Hulk too and I don't think that game has many fans either.

Yeah, pretty hard to argue with that review. Honestly, I think a $.99 sale might still be a bit rich for my blood regarding this game.

When it's on sale for 2.99 I'll get it. Not a fan of the way they've cloned it.

I play warmachine but I started out wargaming being interested in warhammer. I've played the 40k RTS game on PC and I like the general feel of the fluff having not read any. This game almost made me cry for 40k players. It looks that bad.

10 bucks for a mobile clone? How is that a good price?

How can anyone say this is good when even Halo: Spartan Assault is only 5 bucks? And that's actually a decent game by itself.
