Not sure if this has been shown or discussed here before, but this is interesting. I know that the biker bundles save a little (like $3 CAD), but this saves around $10 CAD. I wonder what prompted GW to make this move...

With chimeras going up to 65 pts stock ,am not sure many people will want to buy them .

Its the same reason why Possesed cost still £20.50 , when cost of Terminator rise up to £28. The want the lower price to encoruge you to buy bad/ussles units that normaly you would never think of having.

Generally if GW is bundling things in a box, there is a discount. It’s the one-click bundles that are the useless ones.

Not that there are a lot of deals, but they are out there.

The Tyranid Swarm box is pretty good. IIRC the Carnifex and Gargoyles are effectively 'free'.

The strikeforces they've been releasing have all saved more than a few bucks, just like batleforces before them. This is a nice little savings too, especially if you're building a mech platoon army.

My favorite is when the bundled pack actually costs more than the sum of individual models. The three pack of leman Russ tanks is 3X + $10 when compared to buying the individual packs.

It's actually priced exactly how it should be.

$49.50 x3 for the Leman Russes comes out to $148.50, add on another $10.75 for Pask, and $14 for the Tank Crew ( which is no longer available to buy on its own, but if you search the site you can see it listed at $14 ), and you've got $173.50. So basically the only " benefit " to buying this set would be getting the tank crew models which are no longer sold outside of this set, but even then it's not like it's free or anything, so if you want 3 Russes then just buy 3 Russes.

IIRC there were some where this was actually the case. I think there was an Eldar one that included jetbikes, but they were priced at the $15 each price, totaly ignoring the fact that a 3 for $40 box had just came out.

The Dark Elfes one-click bundle with the witches was 15bucks more as if you buy everything "few-clicks". Some store managers even said you will get a DE special sorceress in the bundle but she isn´t shown because of pre-order. After release they had to eat their words.

I think this was something like £160 or so.

Just a note to what hotsauceman1 said, on the Australian site I can't actually purchase warp spiders, hawks, reapers and several aspects on the online site. A problem with site or is it the same for everyone in Australia?

The Tau "Fire Support Cadre" was a Christmas item, same as the "Tempestus Firebase" set and the Eldar Wraithy box.

The Tyranid bundles also knocked off dollars, the carnifex one and the large lot of bugs one.

The cadian/chimera deal looks great, just i don't use cadians >.>

Best thing about these bundles is my local online supplier has them at a furth20-25% off...
eg that nids bundle for 211 rather than 265 not bad at all really..

Yeah, that's what I like about these bundles. 1 click deals? Never. But taking 10% because it's bundled and then another 20% off, it starts to actually make it appealing.

GW is actually giving out discounts for things people will actually buy in bulk? For real? As in a saving that actually matters and isn't the functional equivalent of 19.99 vs 20.00?
