So the rehash of the IG is here. Let's all wait for all the novels to be be released with Astra Militarium shoved in, but the new this new streaming bit of grid crap is taking the gamesworkshop business model of you'll buy any turd to a new level! It looks like a tractor, in fact I've seen tractors that look more sci-fi.
I'm hoping that in the distant future that they aren't looking at early 20th century snowcat (look at the London science museum ) for troop transport.
This is the straw that breaks the camels back, I hope that this marks the final phase of GW bullsh**t munching money grabbing and either they go bust so we can get on or so one slaps them and they it it out.

Rant over....

It's basically an MRAP with snow tracks instead of tires. The US military uses this god awful thing right now:

I thought the Leman Russ was the armoured plated tractor.

Rhinos are more like armoured Ford Fiestas.

... little known fact: They're all tractors. Even the fliers. Prior to the establishment of the Imperium, when Mankind spread amongst the stars, the gritty reboot of Little House on the Prairie was the most-popular item of media in the history of time.

Every planet made everything out of tractors. Tractors and cows.

Well then GW combined two ugly vehicles.

Either way we can't claim it isn't "realistic".

It might be TOO realistic.

All of these repetitive garbage threads should have their own section, so all the people who waste their time and the energy whining pointlessly and straining their fingers on their keyboards angrily addressing some company that will never listen can circlejerk in their bandwagons, inside 10 page gak throwing contest threads somewhere where everyone who couldn't actually give a single damn what their pet peeve of the day is can ignore them.

You could also just not click on the thread. That is an option as well.

Apparently not as we have a sudden influx of "wtf, everyone stop complaining" posts all over the place today.

Even though I don't agree with every complaint, GW isn't perfect and that should be safe to say without Stalin-style censorship around here. And at least the OP was nice enough to mark this as a rant so people could avoid it if they wanted to not read stuff like this.

It seemed like the thread was the OP complaining about something, warranted or not, and then everyone else just went on discussing MRAPs and Imperial vehicles in general without much complaints. And then another person came in and complained about the complaining.

I don't have anything wrong with the Taurox. I wish it was a bit cheaper though, it's about the same price as a Leman Russ!

In such events, I always assume the person tilting at windmills has been subject to the Warp, and has become unhinged.

Part of the complaint was about the looks. I was pointing out that it seems to draw inspiration from a real world vehicle which helps put context on why it looks so darned silly.

'Tis a bit heavy on the cow, light on the tractor.

If the AV was better and the points cost are reasonable (I don't know the cost yet), I'd be down to use them.

Stupid looking vehicle. Not building an army of Stormtroopers just because this is their only transport besides a Valk and I have gone that route already and sold it.

It is funny on the original design, godawful combination of an MRAP and that 1950s snowcat. Thanks for posting that, I would bet money the designers of the Taurox visited that museum.

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs
For the love of God, GW, get rid of reroll mechanics. ALL OF THEM!

Except how the tracks are constructed and arranged make it look far more ridiculous/ugly. If it was a basic halftrack or had wheels I'd have little problem with the Taurox, though from a gameplay point of view it's unnecessary.

The MRAP needs some autocannons/heavy flamers on the sides to shoot the people disembarking through that door.

Some people are going to dislike the Taurox, others will have a filthy crush on the thing. I think it's a case of take some antibiotics and hope it goes away - or proxy the heck out of it. There are plenty of 28mm compatible kits out there for WW1/WW2 models which can be used for a good kit bashed, roughtly same sized Taurox. You might even get away with a name change to something like the Dogs Bullox

May beat mines but don't take corners too fast, drive too close to the side of the road or on an incline that is too steep to either side. Dang thing has a rollover point of like 10*.

The new Taurox is cool looking, in my opinion. Sure, it's a MRAP with tracts but use your imagination. I could see that thing running across the battlefield in the future. No tires to go flat and a cool gun on top. Seems like something the Imperium would invent.

Drive me closer, I want to hit them with my SWORD!!

Had one of these drive down my street last week. It was cool. The buggers are huge. Never realised how big they were.

What made it comical was the oversized cardboard (joke) "L" plate on the rear, alongside the rear "driver under instruction" placard that matched the one on the front.

Sorry if I missed it , but did the UN pass some world wide law that states we must buy this model ?
If not then don't buy it if you don't like it. See how easy that is !! I bought two and happy to do so.

Now , I will show them why they fear the night.

The Taurox isn't too bad as long as you don't add a lot of the crap that Games Workshop gives ya and give it a military paint job.

The tracks still suck. Buy some wheels for it.

Thought for the day: Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.
