So on one hand you remove:

1) Chenkov
2) Al Rahem
3) Mogul Kamir
4) Bastonne
5) Marbo
6) Griffon
7) Colossus
8) Medusa
9) Penal Legion
6) nerf Harker into utter uselessness
11) nerf the Hydra
12) nerf Psyker Battle squad
13) points cost increase for plasma pistol and power weapons on BS3 / S3 characters from 10 to 15.
14) keep Heavy Bolter still as costly as an Autocannon instead of making it as cheap as a Mortar
15) No Baneblade added despite super heavy walkers in the meta now (could have at least added the non-d-weapon toting variants)
16) Paper armored Taurox that makes Rhinos look sturdy (which are also much cheaper!).
17) No Solar Macharius, Gaunt or Schaeffer.

On the other hand you give:

1) More orders and improved orders
2) Awesome warlord traits.
3) Leman Russ tanks with tank commanders as HQ and upto 2 further Russes as part of that HQ. Rending LR Punisher, anyone?
4) better Leman Russ points cost balancing
5) Armored Sentinel points reduction
6) Better Commissars - points reduction, don't kill your sarges and you can attach them to pretty much every infantry squad.
7) Much better Priests + Warhymns
8) Bullgryns. Costly, yes, but T5, 3W, 4+ armor save, 5+ invulnerable save and if you attach a priest, being fearless and re-rolling all failed hits in first round of cc and all failed wounds in all rounds of cc, all the while providing a 4+ cover save to units behind it makes for a good unit. Shame you have to go buy their models now instead of using your shieldless Ogryns.
9) Wyvern (essentially a replacement for the Griffon).
10) cheaper vehicle upgrades across the board
11) cheaper sniper rifles (3 sniper SWS squad costs 36 points now instead of the staggering 50 it used to in the old codex)
12) Veteran points drop + ability to purchase heavy flamer + massive points reduction to grenadiers doctrine
13) Nork Deddog improved
14) Creed improved
15) Kell improved
16) Yarrick significantly improved
17) Techpriests significantly improved (PotMS to nearby tanks, repair HPs with servitor buffs)
18) Medic upgrade in the CCS points reduction.
19) EVEN BETTER CONSCRIPTS!
20) Primaris Psyker far more useful now thanks to divination.
21) Augur Arrays on vehicles and precision deep strikes even on allied units.
22) Deathstrike viable now. Let it be the bane of all those players who like to castle.

While some things made me go meh:

1) Valkyrie price hike.
2) Vendetta significant price hike and transport capacity reduction.
3) Chimeras price hike.
4) meh relics.
5) Straken changes and price hike
6) Ogryns not getting cheaper
7) Rough Riders got worse
8) Ratlings didnt really get improved
9) The changes to Officer of the Fleet and Astropath.
10) Stormtroopers. Cheaper, but lost some of their situational buffs.

on the forum. Obviously

There wasn't a baneblade in the 5th ed book either. Not sure what that's about.

Also, the taurox has a bigger gun than the Rhino, and is only weaker in it's side armor.

You also left out the Deathstrike improvements.

I think they can, but you have to roll 1 or a 2. Then your opponent may choose who gets the bullet.

1st post edited to incorporate your suggestions.

However I'm not sold on the Taurox even if it has a TL-Autocannon - if youre gonna be transporting infantry, you might want to move more than 6" to get them where you want them to, as the Taurox wont have a big life expectancy on the battlefield, and big guns are thus not very useful on transports. If it were Fast, it would have been balanced. Missed opportunity.

Eh, razorback seems fine with having a big gun. It also have a smaller transport capacity.

Who said that the Taurox can't move more than 6"? The idea is that you disembark the soldiers, then you use the big gun.

There is a fast version of the Taurox. Only storm troopers can take it though.

It is probably a better idea to kill the sergeants over the troopers anyway. You lose a couple of close combat attacks and a LD8 model, or you lose a lasgun. You don't need the leadership or the attacks as much as another ranged weapon. I probably wouldn't kill the last sergeant, just for backup LD, but other than that they can die.

They're still in FW Imperial Armor books and if I remember correctly, also with identical stats and identical points cost as in the old IG codex, so you can technically use your old IG dex as "counts-as" Imperial Armor book and decide to slap your friend with it if he says thats illegal

What's up with the ogrn Ability to protect units behind it. Is this similar to de grotesques when they used to do this

Any infantry unit behind a unit of Bullgryns (not ordinary Ogryns) get +1 to their cover saves, effectively giving them a 4+ save out in the open (5+ from the bullgryns, + the bonus).

Note that the defensive bonus only applies when they carry slab shields + grenadier gauntlets.

I do admit that compared to Bullgryns, Ogryns are pretty lacklustre.
For only 5 points more you get a unit with better saves, a defensive buff to anything behind it and AoE spam.

I guess the ripper gun is slightly better against heavy infantry, as it's S5, but the Ogryn still doesn't look that great.

Yarrick, creed and kell were Improved? Seemed they got nerfed pretty bad to me. Also, how did conscripts get better? They lost SitNW. Seems like all they got was cheaper.

Yarrick got much cheaper, can give orders, he has an invuln. save now (great combination with his EW, even more so with him getting up from the dead). SItnW was overcosted in the old codex as you could get another conscript squad for that price, and your opponent killing more than 2 conscript squads to start benefiting from the upgrade in 1 battle was not really probable. Creed and Kell are cheaper, the former may have lost 1 order, but can re-roll the 3 others if they fail and he also has gunslinger instead of a single tl-pistol.
