Greetings DakkaDakka,

Me and a few friends are considering starting a blood bowl league using the rules which we found online.
The intention is to build our own pitch and stuff as well as building a team from scratch with individual models with personalized stories and backgrounds etc.

I am looking for somewhere to find nice alternate orc models that could be used in a blood bowl team

I'm extremely reluctant to purchase anything from GW as i hate the idea of them profiting for a game they do no support...especially one as good as blood bowl

any suggestions would be greatly welcome

Thanks

Impact! Miniatures and Comixininos both sell really nice alternative models for every Blood bowl Team (Except perhaps Khorne)

and you think that a community that actively spites GW will encourage GW to bring back support for bloodbowl?

Willy makes nice models. Impact makes something that would work for every team. If you look around indiegogo and kickstarter, there are a lot of small companies/individuals who are making individual teams. A little research goes a long way here.

You guys are in luck. There is a huge kickstarter going on right now for Impact and they have 28 teams that you can get in resin for $34 each ($44 for deluxe). The more teams you and your mates order the better your price. If you order 10 teams, you get them for $27.50 each.

I have converted GW high elves and forge world chaos dwarves and am very happy with the result.

This was my original inspiration

Agree with Panic, GW are a business, if they were not profitable there is no way we would have seen their new releases, the new fluff etc. their pricing is very high but just know exactly what you want, or get second hand on ebay and be prepared to spend the time fixing the models up
