beside...that one is going to be done all in plastic... and i have yet to see a way to use your circut aquilla... that trophy is still unused...which verges on crime^^

Yes..I have one problem though Master....I don't know what to use for my petticoat! I can make infinite circles, but what to use for the flared shape??

If you glue together disks of plasticard of graduated sizes then you can fill the gaps with green stuff to make the cone shape, then just use tubing for the rest of it.

hmmm... what about thin PC for the cone shaped parts? or you do little stripes and make it angled looking and then later on you can always sand it down to the round looking look you aim for...

For the petticoat, try using thin PC, find anything cone shaped and use it to cut a sheet of PC that can be rolled into a cone. I have done that and all you would have to do then is brace the inside of the joints between straight tube and cones....
It isn't easy but it is quick and can be done with a minimum of fuss and time...
Or scavange ala the Master known as Vik until you find an old toy to use.....
You didn't hear it from me but some legos would be the perfect item to use as a shaper piece......

at dave... love those hexagon washers and nuts on the boiler! that looks totally the part! also ...as usual rivets make the world firmly bolted down...
also i like the idea of adding the fender with the dimond pattern , that is a nice touch!
as for the smokestacks petticoat thing... if you have solid rods of PC in a really thick diameter you could sharpen them with a pencil sharpener to a pointy cone...then cut off the tip...done! petticoat ready for adding...

Im not entirely sure, but in all my time of watching Thomas the Tank, (and thats probably a good 5 years of my childhood) i dont remember Thomas as a death dealing steampunk walker driven by the fat controller!!
