Seems like an impossible deed.
After 5 games today, winning nothing and getting a well deserved ass kicking.

Mephiston the lord of kickass seems to be impossible to kill. His assault marines weren't. but mephiston? Oh lawrdy.

I heard AP is good. Any other suggestion? My only good AP weapong is the bioplasma on my carnifex.

An Exocrine will make mincemeat of Mephiston, You can use Termagants to screen your units to prevent him assaulting them and then charge him with the Termagants to tie him up.

I have a peanut allergy. It's really inconsiderate.

Brainleech need 12 hits to cause a wound unless iron arm is up then it becomes 18 or 36 hits.

If you land and charge him meph has a stupid high Init (I think 8?), base str of 6 before iron arm, and a force weapon. He will take your lunch money.

Could swarm him with poison attacks, but he has a lot of wounds and a 2+ save.

He will probably go all biomancy and lose wings of sang. Surround him with gaunts and force him to charge little bugs. He needs to squash 60 tgaunts to earn his points back. Don't try to kill him just go on and waste his time with tarpits.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

Thanks for the criticicm on the MFC! i appreciate that! And thats also a good idea, I just lacked the models. Im thinking ill keep him busy with gargoyles, get some genestealers up there and hopefully shred him to pieces

Use a flyrant (somewhat default nid HQ) and max out on psykerness and hope for psychic scream, I should stress that this is shreik on steroids most people think is a nerf, its not its a buff and I will explain why.

Shadow in the warp will put meph to ld7 messing up his powers and allowing extra wounds from the scream 2d6+2 means you can kill him outright with a roll of 9 on the dice (I think he is 4 wounds), coupled with vector strike and devorers and that should check him good. In addition scream hits everything in 6 inches as its a nova power so if he is using marines to get cover saves you will blow their brains out as well as mephys.

Alternatively tarpit him, your fearless and so is he, cue long dull combat lasting 3 turns

Unless of course the psyker Denies the Witch, or you don't get Psychic Scream on anything except slow moving backfield units.

The above pretty much sums up my experience with Psychic Scream.

Tarpitting with swarms of gants, Exocrines shooting or Tyrannofexes with their 2+ would seem like solid options to me.

Am I mistaken, doesn't Mephiston NOT have an invuln save?

Regardless, AP2 will be quite effective since he can't use his armor save.

Well if he is really making your day bad..... spam termegants or what ever is the equivalent of a cheap shooty tyranid and drown in him dice. If guardsmen can do it. You can do it. He is basically like a 4 wound terminator when you are shooting at him albiet alot harder to wound but your gonna start rolling some 5s or 6s some day and he is gonna start failing at least some of his saves as well. Bye bye lord of death

Like a 4 wound Terminator, except with 5 wounds and Toughness 6.

Doesn't help at all...

But I remember mind shackling Mephiston for almost an entire game once and even he couldn't kill himself!

A long time ago I would have suggested the Swarmlord or an Armored Tyrant.

Those were the days.

Tarpit him. Especially if he's dumb and rolls on Biomancy - moving 6" a turn isn't a threat, it's a joke.
