I've been trying to design a carcharodon's army list and want to include Tyberos and a squad of assault terminators. However i'm unsure of what would be the best way of getting them into combat.
Is it through deep striking and praying they survive the turn of uselessness, or by sticking them in a land raider and charging up the field? In the case of the latter what type would people recommend.
An advice is greatly appreciated.

I like the stock Phobos LR, with the TLLCs.

(OK, we’ve recommended all the core raiders, next poster needs to start on the FW ones)

I like to be able to affect things outside of charge range, which the LRC/R don’t do very well. Pop stuff with the godhammers, and the roll over to something that’s giving you trouble and dump some pain on it.

This is a more reactive play then I expect to see from the space sharks, but it’s how I roll. You might be better served with a dedicated battlefield taxi, and just put the pedal down.

But never deepstrike assault units. They won’t be there when you need them, and the turn they spend sitting around is the turn they get shot off the table. YMMV

I also prefer the Crusader. That way you aren't wasting the time you spend grinding your way up the field.

Umm...its called moving flat out.

Personally, I play Templars, and so my LRCs are reserved for my killy cc troops.

As long as your terminators arent the only thing that's going to go in your face to the enemy, it is safe to have them deep strike and save the transport for someone else. Just DS them behind LoS blocking terrain and then you can move + charge upto an average of 12" next turn.

The stock Land Raider is by far the worst possible choice for an assault transport.

Crusader > Redeemer >>>> Normal LR.

First problem with the stock LR; It only transports 10 guys. So no character + terminators, as you can only get 5 guys in there.
Second; It's has a conflict of roles. The Lascannons want to be at max range, the heavy bolter doesn't mesh well with the lascannons, and neither benefits from getting close or driving fast.

The Redeemer has issue of snap firing when moving fast not allowing the inferno cannons to fire, and if it gets immob'ed >8" from the enemy, it's basically worthless. At least the crusader can still snap fire it's bolters, and can fire out to 24" if it get an unlucky immob early on.

The whole reason you are taking the LR in the first place is to drive as fast as possible towards the optimal target and drop them right on top of the enemy, and only the redeemer and crusader do that reasonably well.

Take a Landraider, and Deep Strike, yay for blood angels.
In all seriousness, try storm raven. You can now choose to enter play in hover mode now, so you can disembark without fear of those S10 hits.

I will grant you it might be the worst assault transport, but that does not make it the worst LR.

There is PotMS to help find the HBs something to shoot at.

It is the only basic LR that has any range. I like that. The 10 capacity is a little irritating, but not the end of the world.

The reason you take a LR might be purely a a taxi, but I like the multi role function of the basic LR. It's the only one that works as a MBT as well as a taxi. Some call it unfocused, I call it flexible. But I'm a TAC Ultramarine. YMMV.

I play BA, take curbulo, and just walk up the field. Another thing with 7th is getting gate of infinity to teleport and only have to survive one turn.
