Corpses, have you not seen the large vertical "corpses" under "don't"? (not the small "corpse" in the top left)

How far back do the logs go which you used to make this dark?

There's been an update to the 1.8 pre-release today. I'm going to test it with a backup of the Dakka world if I have time, to see what happens.

Probably possible, but it would probably be a bunch of words scattered around and in "space" and "marine".

Has anyone tried downloading the updated Client 1.8 yet? I can't seem to make it run, whenever I load minecraft again it gets to the 'Updating Minecraft' screen, says its 'Done Loading' and then the green bar at the bottom freezes a short way from the end and nothing happens

Is anyone else getting this, or just me?

I dunno bro, I'm running Linux, so it was simple for me to go back and forth between 1.8PR and 1.7.3. No idea how to do it on Windows...

it is in the cloud- towards the bottom is the word "still", and above the "S" "frenchy" is written in blue

hey lord bane, what command line are you using for pre1.8 on linux? I'm getting an error using the old command line and are too lazy/busy to go digging through other forums for the correct one.

Just tested the 1.8pre server with a Dakka backup world. Apart from invisible hurty cacti, it works fine, no endless ocean biome and lots of pretty new biomes.

I recorded a video and I will post it shortly (once I encode it and upload it).

Lego I used the linux server, but the windows client, so I don't know what command will get the client working in linux.

I am glad it works. Did you see any particularly nice biomes on your exploration Dark?

Yep, like I said, lots of pretty new biomes. First one was a desert, also saw a swamp, plains and some massive mountains. In the distance was a snow biome too. Found an Enderman after a long search too, but he burned in the sunlight. You'll see them in the video when I get it encoded right.

Player list is also good, just press tab to see who's connected. Couldn't figure out how to fly though (double jump didn't work).

Invisible cacti might be difficult, seeing as though I used it extensively outside my mountain house and inside my nether house...

It's going to be just like that scene in The Hitch-Hiker's Guide with all the rakes.

LoL It really would Avatar, heck I'd like to see it happen in my minecraft to laugh heartily at myself

Heh, you'll see it in the video, I hit several cacti almost exactly like Avatar describes.

However, they've had the invisible cacti bug before and fixed it before, so I assume they'll know how to fix it before 1.8 is released

cd ~/.minecraft/bin && mv minecraft.jar minecraft_173.jar && wget http://assets.minecraft.net/1_8-pre2/minecraft.jar


Just extract the jar, leave it there, run the command, and start the game

Played a test map on 1.8.2 it works a lot better
