I'm guessing it stops the lash in one of the following ways:
-Stay out of LOS of the Lasher. (Not the best solution)
-Kill the Lash Prince (not too hard to do when he's got 6 obliterators floating around.)
-Tie the lasher up in hand to hand (Again, not too great but it would work)
-Destroy the units designed to synergise with the lash (ordinance, assault) (More difficult than killing the lash prince probably.)
