Thanks guys

Northern, The Leviathan is on hold at this stage at the moment,

Joyous_Oblivion, not beyond assembly the legs, I discovered to my horror I've got a Lucius pattern 'neck' component to the hull (i.e. the main section of the hull which includes the neck mount) which I had'nt realised until I came to do doing a test fit, need to contact FW and sort it out before I do anything more there.

Game 5 of Heat 1 in 2007? Does that sound about right or would it have been earlier with my older Praetorian army?

that actually sounds about right, that was a good game, what with my terminators getting taken down by your rough riders and my whirlwind doing shockingly well.

you attending the GT this year?

Aye I remember that Whirlwind lol, pesky thing lol Yeah plannong on Heat 1 for this year, and it'll be back to the Praetorians again after using my SoB this year.

Finally almost finished the Malcador right down to the free hand four which I'm quite pleased with lol, just needs a bit of mud around the tracks, an aerial with a penant, and possibly a name - only possibly though, I'm not namng my tanks, I am naming my super heavy tanks, but this is to me more of a heavy tank :-s choices choices

And now finished, I ended up giving it the name of Dauntless (okay I admit a bit of a cop out as it's a Baneblade transfer) with a little added mud and a penant.

More, larger, pics can be found here on my blog.

awesome paint job on that, i think you have made me a fan of the malcador now just as much as the macharius, also very consistent with your other tanks (well i specifically remember the conqueror).

Oooh your taking the beautiful army again? Awesome, considering last year i hope you get put up for best painted, that army deserves some recognition, keep it up.

This is, without doubt, the most awesome thing I have seen on dakka since I signed up.

These the design of these figures is done with such conviction and skill that it would easily find itself at home with some of the best figures I've seen in real life. Everything from the support weapons, to the Malcador to the Leviathan (which happens to be my favorite vehicle design in 40k) is top notch.

Kudos.

I guess not malfred, just a case I would of liked to have done more freehand really, need to practice it.

I'm now getting on with another Leman Russ now, most of the early work done, just need to get the sponson and hull gun assemblies done so I can get them painted and inserted into the tank.

Also I'm starting to experiment with something else after I had a little GS left over, no prizes for guessing what though!

i must admit, i had never liked praetorians, but after looking at this, well, im impressed, have seen a much better side of them

some amazing work on both painting and sculpting, and if thats a praetorian ogryn, then that deserves some credit

Just a little progress, I collected enough bases together over the past couple of months for the upcomming change to IG Heavy Weapons teams, and now I'm putting the pieces together and rebasing, I had planned to finish the second Russ first, but I'll come back to that after now.

Excellent work on everything so far, I love the Leviathan!

"I.. I know my time has come" Tethesis said with a gasp, a torrent of blood flowing from his lips.
"No! Hang on brother!!" Altharius could feel the warmth slip away from his dear sibling's hands

Tethesis's reached out his bloodied arm to Altharius's face.
"I..I have one final request"
Altharius leaned close to listen, tears welling in his once bright eyes.
"make sure th..they put my soulstone in a tank... it'll be... real fethin' cool"
"Yes, you're gonna be the most fethin' cool tank!!" burning hot tears streaked down Altharius's face, as he held his brother's soul in his grasp.

Thankyou guys

Well little bit more progress, I've done a little more work on the 'Helblade' turret I started on a while back, an Inferno Gun armed Baneblade, in order to get it ready to use tommorrow, that involved adding a sheath to the end of the barrel with holes punched in it using a leather punch, adding igniters from Cadian flamers to each barrel, and assembling the basis of the turret, still some tidying and detailing to add though.

I've also finished rebasing the first battery of Lascannons, it's old work on a new base so just the one pic, the rest are on my blog, second Lascannon battery is on the way... but I ran outa Bedab Black
