Thanks guys

Those horses are the WFB Empire Outrider/Pistoller horses, really nice models, probably my favourite horses GW have produced so far.

Might do a profile some time, one of those things I oughta get round too.

Bit more work done, still plenty to go mind.

And I thought the guy making his own moulds and casting 4 titans was impressive!

You, sir, are treading the fine line between genius and insanity.....and its too cool for words

P.S. can I suggest a dark blue/grey and white colour scheme for your sisters with red markings a la victorian nurses?

While you sleep, they'll be waiting...

Have you thought about the Axis of Evil pension scheme?

Oooo, the Colonel's turning out splendid.

Have I mentioned how impressive this army is? If you didn't live on another continent, my Ultramarines would totally find a reason to cry Heresy! and roll some dice.

Keep up the good work!

Wee bit closer after a bit of a break, just the right arm (cuff and hand) and the lance to go now really, then back to painting, also working on the Malcador and a few other things as well.

Your work is amazing! I was going to say how well they were painted but the sculpting is even better. Keep up the immense work, I thought Praetorians were the worst IG until I saw this log.

Have you done any Arbites models other than the proctor? Nice touch with the helmet by your army.

I fell in love the kit after using them in the construction of the Leviathan so had to build up some as actual Baneblades, I'm also rather fond of several of the Baneblade variants so to get the flexibility of having the option to field the different variants without spending a fortune I'm using magnets to give me options.

First off it is a Baneblade though, and theres no problems there.

The main weapon on the turret is swapable with one magnet in the turret, another in the manlet - incidently the model can be turned upside down without any problems, the earth magnets I've are plenty strong enough to hold it together.

The fore and aft sponson/armour plate mounts are swapable, with magets in the track assembly and on the armour plates and sponsons themselves - gonna beed to get some more sets of these extras so I can have no sponsons, one pair or two pairs with the different weapons options.

The upper hull and engine assembly are also swapable with magnets mounted fore and aft on cross beams which also give it a little extra strength when the uper hull is'nt in place. I've got a spare set of these bits left from the Leviathan and will convert it so as to resemble the layout of the Shadowsword style hull, with the weapons similarly swapable that'll allow a Shadowsword, Stormsword or Stormblade - and perhaps in the future the Stormlord transport variant.

Partly inspired by AWG on Warseer I'm also planning to turn a spare turret I have into an Inferno Cannon armed version of the Baneblade, I'll tinker with that next I expect and use slightly modified Plaguereaper rules.

Tally ho! I say my good chap, what an excellent army! It's nice to see some proper soldiers out there, in real uniforms, instead of gallivanting about in their greens and browns and other such sordid colours (or lack thereof) thinking that hiding is a good way of bring justice to the enemies of the Emperor. Balderdash I say! Such a ridiculous notion should never be considered by any rational man.

Now then, my good sir, I must inquire as to why the calvary wear blue if this is to be true to the British Army of yesteryear. I'm afraid the lancers and dragoons would wear the same red as everybody else, well, everybody else but the Engineers in their blue, and the explorer officers, and the command staff, and those dreadful rifles, bunch of barbarians in green jackets if you ask me...

Anywho, excellent job all round, ten points and all that, and if the Vernians and your Praetorians ever find themselves next to one another in the battle-line I can assure you we'll hold our own, unlike those olive-wearing idiots that keep polluting our battlefields with notions of "tactical retreat" and "maneuvering". Bloody morons, the lot of 'em, eh?

Thanks guys

And here, here open_sketchbook old boy!

Right, a bit more Baneblade fun and I'm after your thoughts!

I've started assembling one of my spare turrets with a titan class Inferno Gun with a view to using a slightly modified set of Plague Reaper rules dubbed as the Helblade, I've more or less finished the base of the gun but I'm not sure about the breach section, at the moment it looks like this.

My question is do you think I should leave it much as it is now, or bring it more in line with the FW version (below), with either a single sleeve (no idea if that would be the right word for this really!), the existing multiple sleeves with holes punched in them, or a single one with holes punched in them. I really cant make my mind up - and am a little worried at the prospect of getting accurately lined up holes if I do go down that route.

Best of all worlds! Put a single sleeve on, but wrap it closer to the front so that a little bit of the rear of each barrel sleeve is visible. Use long vertical cuts on the barrel sleeves and holes on the large sleeve.

Using a single heat shield would be easier to make but would make the gun look chunky at the front end.

Seperate heat shields would give a more intricate look, which I think would fit better with your army.

I would advise making 3 shields with identical patterns of holes. Make them so that they'll not wrap fully round the barrel (leave a 2mm gap underneath) and then fill this space with the ignition unit made from a 2mm thick piece of plasticard with a slight dogleg at the end, filed to a sharp point.

Looking forward to seeing the finished product, whichever way you decide to go.

Great work as ever

Me too, that's why I stocked up with 6 pots before they ran out.

Fantastic work all round. I'd love to see them facing a feral ork army or kroot.

I especially love the leviathan and your cavalry.

Looking forward to seeing more.

"And what is wrong with their life? What on earth is less reprehensible than the life of the Levovs?"
- American Pastoral, Philip Roth

Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed at him, we leagued with him, old chum.
No soldier's paid to kick against His powers.
We laughed - knowing that better men would come,
And greater wars: when each proud fighter brags
He wars on Death, for lives; not men, for flags.
