Right oh Viktor, top left working clockwise its the left (rein holding) arms, lance tips, right (lance holding) arms, torsos and legs. Bits are all as in the picture of 5 sets laid out.
Will keep an eye open for a PM from you.
Optio, thanks very much!
Just quickly, something else I'm working on, finally getting a painted Chimera sorted.

So how are you planning to sell these guys? Any plans on a specific venue or webstore? I'm at the moment intrigued sadly I'm not financially solvent enough to be interested yet.

It is an oath we honour. Right, I've gone a bit further with getting these done now.
The lances went together nicely, just needing the arms and lance tips drilled for the plastic rod of the lance shaft.
Next I did come across a couple of issues. The first is there is a flaw on some models along the mold line where the leg joins the tunic, nothing major and as a little greenstuff filling is ideally needed anyway on component joins, not a huge issue.
The picture also highlights that some filling is required under the legs on some of the horses, not essential, but looks better. The other point I'd raise is that due to slight differences between the saddles on the different horses, I did need to push apart or together the legs a little on some to get them to fit snuggly, the metal does have suffieient give for this.
These points aside, I'm pretty damned pleased with the finished result, now just got to get the rest of the first unit done.

Very nice indeed. Are their uniforms historically accurate, say the light company for instance or is it one of your own invention? Either way fantastic job.

Thanks Lenny. Yes they vaguely historically acurate, the regular Infantry with their Blue facings match to the British 4th Foot, the Lancers match the 17th Lancers in the 1870's as do the blue and red of the Artillery crews.

Finally finished a Chimera, my transports will all be nominally assigned to the Praetorian Life Guards, which in my case are Storm Trooper equivilents (so guess what I'm slowly sculpting a master for at the moment! ). In the background I've written each Hive on Praetorian maintains a single regiment of Life Guards, in my case they will be from the seat of planetary governor, Hive Victorium (had to be done!).
The Gatling Gun (Heavy Bolter) can also be swapped for a Heavy Flamer.

Right then, now for the squad to ride in the Chimera.
The Life Guards (Storm Trooper equivilents), are going to be a bit of a long term project, first off I want to sculpt a master dolly, based largely on the original concept conversions (below) I did a few years back.
First up I'm going to sculpt a dolly, this I'll get cast up in a small quantity before creating a number of different poses from these. The resultant models I'll then have cast up, both for myself, and as with the Roughriders to sell. For now the breast plate is almost done, next the back plate and tunic.

very impressive Praetorian IG. reflecting the pre-Khaki brits very accurately. while hollywood fails (Brits artillery crew wear the same dress as line inf. instead of blue ones!)
well did I really copy your colourscheme into my IG army? they ain't no praetorians, nor cadians.... i'm yet to write its backstory. the concepts are shifted from space pirates -> biker gangs (being mounted infantry instead of cavs) -> 'central government army' for feudal world (modelled after Cromwell's army) -> 21st army (inspired by the Brotherhood of Nod... as they appeared in C&C Renegade)
The Nod troops is the finalized concepts.
Few hints for background
- it will be based on the dancer's dress from one of the most acclaimed Kylie Minogue's music video
- they are a descendants of Irish settlers. and share the similar backgrounds as Drookian Fein Guard.
- their homeworld is (recently) a knight world. once it was a feudal world with some post-apocalyptical techs.

2nd Infantry Platoon

Secondly here's dilemma for me, I've started work converting the Death Korps Commissar drawing his sword, turning it into one Colonel Gravis, Regimental Commander of the Praetorian 4th, I've not done much so far, simply doing a head swap, and removing the breathing appartus (the arm is only attached with bluetak for the moment), I've found myself becomming rather fond of him with a bare head though, do you think I should add a Pith Helmet, either on the head, on the base or not at all?
This is an awesome conversion, I'm working on a Mordian Iron Guard force and I can see doing something similar with a Mordian head swap. I'm really digging your work and will be placing an order for some of those rough rider conversion kits as they will work beautifully for my Mordians!

Long time no post!
I just thought I'd share the new sculpts I'm releasing very shortly through my own webstore, all of them are 28mm heroic so compatible with GW Cadians and other simialrly scaled minis. All the components will be cast in white metal.
Carapace Armoured Life Guard Torso
Revised Roughrider Torso - Will replace the existing torso supplied with my earlier Roughrider sculpts as shown in the second picture.
Heavy Laser Rifle
In addition I've a new Infantry torso, no picture as of yet.
Lots more on the way, including some new Life Guard heads a practice piece for which is below, rifle holding arms with epualettes and something for when you need heavier firepower...

Meowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
1. Are those lifeguards a cavalry or 'mounted heavy infantry' (Stormtroops)?
2. What are problems you've discovered on Empire troops with cuirass models and you judged that it is a no go and you decided to make a new cuirass torso instead?
